I speculate that a funder of these riots got served a subpoena, had evidence seized, or was served a lawsuit and told everyone to stand down because RICO is coming.

Not necessarily. I find it incredibly naive to think that President Trump didn’t issue an order to the DOJ to start building cases on the leaders of the riots, and their funders, as soon as Minneapolis failed to settle down after a night or two. At that point it was clear that something organized was going on.
The question now is when will the rioters be rounded up, and when will the funders be revealed and charged? It could be all at once, pre-election, or it could be a few at a time like a long-running reality show with something new to watch every day or two. Given it’s Trump, I’m going with the reality show approach.
Well, remember that “Riot Kitchen” convoy that was intercepted outside Kenosha? The perps were released...but their vehicles, possessions, and phones were not.
It does make you wonder....
