The GOP’s vote share in the district within the last 20 years peaked at 25%. It’s pointless to run there.

You’ll get no argument from me. The winner of this race was decided in the Democrat primary in August.
I have nothing at all against the GOP nominee. He’s a great guy with a great message but he will lose in November. Maybe he’ll poll 5 points higher than the 2018 nominee but that’s all.
In Minnesota, I can name several races where that money would have been better spent.
In some respects, this reminds me of a guy who ran against Pelosi about 10 years ago. He raised a good amount of money, put up an effort and got beaten down in the general election.
It was wasted money.
