Permanent outdoor dining is a good idea. With some tacking back in to make sure the streets are accessible—AND full indoor dining of course restored as well.
It is actually rare for this commie to get even part of something right.
Plenty of good middays, at least, from the latter part of April to early November in NYC.
But open up the indoor dining as well!
Yep. All over the Northeast, folks are commenting about more outdoor dining being the one good byproduct of this Covid shutdown travesty.
No substitute for indoor dining, but municipalities have long made it too hard to add some outdoor tables as well.
As a public employee, Mayor Kaiser Wilhelm DeBlasio needs to have ALL his meals eaten outside. Forget about the pot-smoker area at the patio at Gracie Mansion (the Mayor’s residence), he needs to eat at a table at the curb just like he’s demanding all New York diners do.
My wife and I always prefer outdoors unless the weather does not cooperate. Heck, on our honeymoon through the southwest in July we ate ate a lot of outdoor dining areas with misters, keeping it nice and cool.
Permanent outdoor dining is a good way to enjoy the riots and especially the “activists” who come to your table yelling about your whiteness.
The America-hating marxist will have his meals served hot, in a warm building, surrounded by armed protection, without a mask.
My preference as well—unless it is too loud, including too close to a fast road, or the weather is inclement.
NYC already HAS permanent outdoor dining! Many restaurants and cafes offer sidewalk and rooftop dining. In the SUMMER, or in mild spring and fall days, along with inside dining. It’s very charming.
Outdoor Dining in NYC from November until late spring is wonderful.
More to the point, idiot DeBlasio needs to open up indoor dinning to 100%, at least by the end of October.
Half the people who say they love NY don’t live there anymore.

If there would be a hall of fame for idiots and dimwits he would be one of the first draft choices. It always amazes me how some people get to where they are in life by being so ignorant and stupid. On the other hand you have to consider who voted for him, as they are no brighter than he is.
Last weekend the brown shirts were in New York and they were in an area that had outside dining. The tables were on the side walk outside of the building. they had tables on either side of the side walk so people would walk through the middle of the sidewalk right next to where you were eating and there were tons of those people overtaking the sidewalk.
No way would I eat out there.

Eating in the snow and rain like animals. Dumb thinking like is probably the main reason Rome fell.
Frankly, our local downtown did this a few years ago, but it is a quaint city where they could push traffic down two main streets.
Eating on a sidewalk while trucks drive by belching smoke is NOT fun.

The majority of voters there elected this pathetic communist loser. I guess they deserve what they get. Oh, well.
