"Good God, are they EVER going to give this crap up?"

They can't. All of their illegal activities were undertaken based on idea that they could justify BELIEVING that Trump colluded with the Russians. To admit that such a belief was not justified is to admit to committing crimes.

The information exonerating Trump and his campaign has existed since day one. It was there for all of the conspirators to see. The conspirators can't admit to seeing the exoneration now because there would be no explanation for why they didn't see it from the beginning.

I'm reminded of a scene in the movie "The Maltese Falcon". The Humphrey Bogart character makes up a ridiculous lie to get rid of the cops. Peter Lorre later complains to him that he wishes Bogart had made up a better lie because he felt like a complete idiot repeating it to the cops.

All of the Russia Collusion conspirators are in the same boat. They must all keep repeating the ridiculous lie that there was evidence of collusion. They must testify that they are both stupid and incompetent to have allowed themselves to base their investigation on a so-called "dossier" that was invented by somebody that Steele talked to who had no sources.

The alternative to appearing stupid and incompetent is to admit treason. I think treason can be proved if Durham can prove who sent Mifsud to entrap George P. and who supplied the cash that Tawil gave George.
