Hubby and I stopped watching about 3-4 years ago. We thought it would be harder, but it wasn’t. But then, hubby was a diehard Jets fan, so it was probably a relief for him. LOL.
I’ll admit - I tuned in to the first quarter of the Tampa Bay - New Orleans game to see Tom Brady in a different uniform.
After 25 minutes, I was done. The networks showed me at least 15 minutes of commercials during that time.
That’s been my biggest complaint for the last 15 years. Now add to that their insults to my politics and the American flag, and there’s no way I’ll sit through more.

For the first time in 50 or so years, I didn’t watch my favorite NFL team yesterday.
In fact, I turned it off before the first snap, as I watched EVEN THE QB kneel during the anthem. That pissed me off SO MUCH that “click” went the TV IMMEDIATELY.
I’ve never not watched a televised game from start to end for almost 50 years.
Latest poll I saw was that 46% or so of people are against the “woke” NFL antics. Not a smart business plan to piss off roughly half of your customer base.

This should be have been the biggest opening day of all time, with millions of almost literally captive viewers with nowhere better to spend their Thursday night, massive pent-up demand for live sports, and a desperation for normalcy. But, like every other sport that has gone woke, ratings are way down.
It couldn’t be clearer: Ratings are down for the ultra-woke NFL and NBA. Ratings for the NHL, MLB, and UFC, which have kept the wokeness to a minimum, are up.
Its not just football. I watch a lot of tennis and was watching this weeks US Open. ESPN force fed me a bunch of social justice “malarkey”. Are they intentionally trying to lose all their viewers ?
