American Thinker has run several articles like this one about Dr. Anthony Fauci's political bias (which is his right). But the Miami Herald published an article that was aimed at undermining President Trump, which actually contains compelling evidence that Fauci's bias or ignorance is affecting what he is telling the American people about COVID-19. In the article "Dr. Fauci: 'I have to disagree' with Trump on coronavirus," the author writes:
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious diseases expert, disagreed on Friday with President Donald Trump's assertion that the country is "rounding the corner" on the coronavirus pandemic.
"I really do believe we're rounding the corner," Trump said during a White House briefing on Thursday. He added that newweekly cases have gone down by 44% since July.
"I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with that because if you look at the thing that you just mentioned, the statistics, Andrea, they're disturbing," Fauci told MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell on Friday. "We're plateauing at around 40,000 cases a day and the deaths are around 1,000.
From his interview with Andrea Mitchell Friday, the Herald quotes Fauci as stating, "We're plateauing at around 40,000 cases a day and the deaths are around 1,000."
In fact, he is very wrong: the average daily new cases for the past week have been 34,506, 14% less than Fauci's 40,000 number, and the average daily deaths for the past week have been 741, a full 26% less than Fauci's 1,000. More significant, do these graphs of weekly average new cases (blue graph) and deaths (red graph) from Statnews look like we're "plateauing"?

Douglas MacArthur got fired for being insubordinante just ONCE. And he was Douglas MacArthur.
Japan had Tokyo Rose.
Deep State has Dr. Doom.
YouTube apparently censored Dr. Scott Atlas over the weekend. Not a coincidence I’m sure.
Was it Fauci’s idea to fake test everyone to get the highest number of cases as possible ?
Every time someone shoves a mic in his face he feels compelled to pull another quip out of his a**.
RE: Douglas MacArthur got fired for being insubordinante just ONCE. And he was Douglas MacArthur.
Looking back in history, who was right? MacArthur or Truman?
Only 2 weeks to flatten the curve...
I think most people would consider 34,506 ‘around 40,000’ and 741 ‘around 1000’.
If he had said ‘around 30,000’ and ‘around 500’, then Fauci would have been accused of trying to mislead the public by lowballing the numbers.
“...Follow the money. Bill Gates, big Pharma and fauchi have big political and financial interests in the plandemic....”
Yep. ALWAYS follow the money. It usually will lead one right the heart of the issue. This bassturds likely colluded with the DNC/CCP on this release. Would LOVE to see that come out with solid proof as the big “October Surprise” on the communists.
This guy missed his calling, he should have been a weather vane on a barn somewhere.
Of course he disagrees and it has little to do with politics. He is a career bureaucrat. It is ingrained in every fiber of his being that problems are job security. Problems exist to exist not be solved. Without problems, who needs a guy like Fauci. Thus he strives to prolong them, not solve them.
No Covid means no more interviews, no more fame.
The last thing he wants is for this to go away.
But on the merits of this he is dead wrong. We have more than rounded the corner. It isnt the deadly threat it once was and a vaccine is close at hand.
I disagree also. We are not rounding the corner, that corner was a few blocks back.
Rounding the corner doesn’t mean you are on the straightaway yet.
What don’t they know.
