She did say that, Rose, but she has to - it’s the truth. Not just your country - our public education is anything but. It was a large takeover, and any parent who tried to stand up against it was ridiculed and their objections didn’t make a darn bit of difference. I pulled mine out 30 years ago and home-schooled for years.

I can’t help but think that if both parents weren’t out working to have more and more material goods, mothers may have had the time to watch what was going on and join forces. The way it is now, you almost HAVE to have two parents working....it hasn’t worked out well at all.

Agree. I think that if you can’t afford to raise kids on one parent’s salary, you shouldn’t have kids. But that’s just me. People make their choices. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn’t.

I ended up quitting my job to stay home with my kids. They went to a Christian school and later public.

I home schooled my kids after school. They learned basic algebra in the 3rd grade. And American History. Spent my days volunteering at their school.

Loved it.

I think what we are seeing now are kids that haven’t been raised by parents. It ain’t pretty.
