77-year-old Joe Biden left his basement on Friday and traveled to Ground Zero in NYC and Shanksville, Pennsylvania to pay his respects on the 19th anniversary of 9/11.
It was a big day for Biden even though he didn’t answers questions from reporters or give a press conference.
“I’m not going to make any news today. I’m not going to talk about anything other than 9/11. We took all our advertising down. It’s a solemn day. That’s how we’re going to keep it, OK? You can determine whether I make news but I’m not going to be holding any press conferences.” Biden said to a gaggle of reporters on Friday.
The traveling exhausted him so his campaign started off Saturday morning by “calling a lid” (shutting down for the day).

“Calling a Lid” is one of the terms I will forever associate with Campaign 2020. In fact, before now I never even heard of that term.
I follow politics intensely and I’ve never heard of a “Lid Day” until now!

Biden was breathing hard when he tried to answer a friendly question the other day; he took seven seconds, told his staff to push the teleprompter closer to him and appeared to be badly out of breath while sitting behind a podium. My impression is that his campaign staff and backoffice Politburo will try to run out the clock with a few public appearances in which he reads something short and takes no questions but put in effect a strategy which makes the “press” the main adversary to Trump, which it was in particular the past ten days with the lies and slanders from Goldberg of the Atlantic “magazine” and the execrable Bob Woodward. I don’t see Biden debating; I know people have pointed out that he did ok in the Dem primary debates but that was: 1) among 7 or 8 so he had limited talk time; and 2) was more than six months ago and he has visibly deteriorated since then. So I expect them to cancel his debate a week before and let the damned “press” cover for him. I would imagine that if Biden in some way gets elected (God forbid but there is a ton of dirty money being poured into this election), there will be an enormous reaction against the press for having orchestrated the coverup of the true condition of a man with dementia being elected to the presidency.
If biden’s handlers administer amphetamines in the hope of getting him through a debate, the result will be that he will say more stupid shit much much faster.....
They just watch trump looking for anthing they can b fakeoffended about and use it as an excuse to call off the upcoming debates

There is an entry from 4chan that is making the rounds, I am very skeptical, but it purports to be from a disillusioned staffer who says that this is happening already.
The problem is that if Biden wins and the Ds take the Senate, we have seen the last contested presidential election in our lifetimes. These leftist staffers are already plotting to remove the filibuster from the Senate as the first measure that body will enact. What does this mean - pack the courts to offset the Trump appointees; give two senators each to DC and Puerto Rico; grant citizenship to 20 million illegal aliens; open the borders; remove all trade pressure on their friends in China; renew the crazy Mideast wars; give 16 year olds the right to vote; put low income housing throughout the suburbs; shut down fracking, oil and gas on federal lands; and tax the hell out of everyone. And the damned “press” will have been the major co-conspirator in bringing this about.
