Rain and 15-30 MPH winds here in Central Alabama. Family on coast (Foley, Inland from Gulf Shores) said the that storm surge completely crossed the island (Gulf Shores/Orange Beach) and connected with the bay, said their privacy fence is down and losing shingles from roof.

Thank you for your valuable local report. Inland areas are in for a difficult 2-3 days.
I think I heard the surge emptied a bay west of eye. Can't find confirmation.
