TD 22 in Gulf...may be there for many days as a storm/ hurricane
looks like TD 23, or Wilfred if they go straight to upgrade, has just formed off Africa
So TD 22 in Gulf may be Alpha
Next to Mobile Bay.
I’ll give it to my Daughter, she is the best Researcher for this.I take it for granted AL?
Many outages in mobile 100% of people are out.Per a line Mans Wife. Can’t get in touch.Prayers.
Thank you for your quick info!
Give it a little time.
We had a convoy of about 40 power trucks heading south on I-65 yesterday, passed them on the way home from a doc appt., so help is on the way.
My stepson's dad has a beach house in Gulf Shores. His uncle lives down there and checked the house yesterday - 4 foot of water in the garage and some shingles gone, but no water got in around the storm shutters so main living area is clean (thank god for stilts).
Best friend 'Was' in the process of moving to Pensacola. Had 2 boats docked in the marina there - just got word both boats were destroyed, and the house he and his wife were supposed to close on in November has 8 foot of water in it. Again though, that house is on stilts so the water is in the garage and storage areas below the main living area. He said his agent was only able to do an outside look, so doesn't know yet if any damage to main living area.
Thanks for your local update. Bad storm.
Oh Wow.
Friend of mine has a condo on Pensacola Beach, on the bay side of the island. Condo complex (87 units) had about $100k in damage, mostly siding and railings. No structural damage. Oddly, they have power and water, and some of the residents are already moving back in.
Thank you. I came here looking for him just now. Thanks.
Thanks for your Pensacola update. A whole lot of cleanup and repairs can be done quickly when the electricity and water are functioning.
Also Alabama Power reporting all power North of the Gulf counties is now restored.
I'm back. 75% of the county was w/o power, I just saw it announced that 30% are still out. My power came on about 30 minutes ago. Anyway, nice to be back to civilization. I don't want to ever live without electricity.
Were you able to use your propane generator?
I hear ya. We were out about 60 hours after Laura.
DADA ((((Hugs))))
Nope. All that hype and preparation and it would start and run for about 90 seconds and shut-off. Fortunately, my brother lives about 30-40 miles away and his electricity was out only briefly and he brought me his big Honda gasoline generator and about 40 gallons of gasoline. I had AC, whew!
The propane generator is headed for the shop.
Ho ray! Your alive and well!
Thank God.
We have Beta in the Gulf and it is already misbehaving (already stronger then expected and off track per recon)
slow mover for days
New thread time?
