They have no intention of letting Trump (and US) win again.
Whatever it takes, they intend to take power.
They have no intention of letting Trump (and US) win again.
I think it is going to go a lot smoother than people think.
Because it was so close in 2016, they can call it illegitimate without disrespecting the voters...
By saying they won the popular vote - by saying the electoral college is flawed - by saying long a couple thousand votes in key swing states could have changed the outcome - they are saying they lost over a mere technicality.
They can say they should have won without ever questioning the collective judgment of the voters.
In 2020, they may not be able to do that.
If President Trump wins the popular vote, and wins the swing states more decisively, as I believe he will, they wont be able to say it was close, or that they lost on a technicality - they will have to blame the voters.
If they refuse to accept the results of a clear victory - they may as well be calling the voters stupid - which is not a good look.
I suspect a decisive victory in the popular vote, say, 53-47, and an electoral college score above 350 - that will shut them up for a while.
But if they dont shut up, and they choose to call a majority of the American people names, such as deplorables, low information voters, or just racists, the Democrat party will find itself left out in the cold.
Voters dont like it when a political party insults them.
