And Im not exaggerating.
“Its all admittedly anectodal, but here in northern Minnesota Trump/Pence signage outnumbers Biden/Harris by at least 200-1.”
Back in 2000 I was still driving long haul. Spent a lot of time crossing Ohio. I noticed a LOT of signage for W. For Gore, not much.
On my last trip home I went to cast my absentee ballot and ran into two of the local Republican bigwigs. They were talking about Ohio, worried that the Gore would win Ohio and with it the election.
I told them Ohio was in the bag, handed one of them a $20 bill and told them if Gore took Ohio the $20 was theirs. If Bush took Ohio they each owed me $20. I walked off.
My next trip home, after the election, I dropped by the office of one the fellas. He grinned, handed me $40 and asked how I called Ohio a month early.
I explained about the signage and simply said signage denotes enthusiasm or lack of the same.
From what you’re saying Minnesota is looking possible if the more rural areas turn out enough to overcome the Twin Cities.
