The Northampton County GOP is hosting Mark and Patricia McCloskey on Sept. 17 at Fairview Park, 3501 Fairview Ave. in Palmer Township, Easton, PA.
The couple plan to speak on the importance of the Second Amendment and the right to defend yourself and your private property, according to the Facebook listing of the event.
The couple went viral after arming themselves and standing outside their home on June 28 as protesters marched down their private residential street toward Mayor Lyda Krewson’s house, to call for the mayor’s resignation.
Prosecutors allege protesters feared being injured as Mark McCloskey, 63, pointed an AR-15 rifle at protesters and Patricia McCloskey, 61, wielded a semiautomatic handgun.
They each face a felony count of unlawful use of a weapon-exhibiting.

We were at a flag wave yesterday on William Penn Highway & Route 33 in Bethlehem Township. (Next to Easton). Around 100 people showed up. We had a great response from cars.
It’s so disgusting to see this stuff reported so poorly over and over again.
When a group of belligerent people smashes down a wrought iron gate in order to trespass onto private property and yell threats they are not protesters. They are criminals who present a threat.

Exactly right. Lehigh Valley Live is a liberal rag.
I’d love to be there bu I’m on the opposite side of the state.
If it is convenient for you can you keep me up to date on relevant activities over there. I am close by in N.J. and sometimes can get to goings on in Lehigh Valley.
People are well armed in my area of PA. Some of them open carry at our Tea Party meetings.
There is a flag wave Saturday at Autozone in Nazareth from 11-3. You don’t have to stay for the whole time. Come & go as you please. Park at the Giant Supermarket.

Flag wave demonstrations sound like a great idea. We have so many ways of showing our support for Trump and for America: boat parades, truck parades, actual Trump rallies and now flag waves. Excellent!
They never “aimed” anything at anyone while defending their home.
The couple is being unfairly prosecuted. This is what the left wants to do to us: arrest us for defending ourselves, and set criminals free.
