I honestly keep looking at this scenario and thinking what Trump can do about it, and the answer keeps coming back "not much". Electoral process is under control of the states. Trump can't actually stop them from doing this by any likely means. He can sue, but that could all come down to what John Roberts thinks is a tax on that day. Or it goes to the House, and gee, I wonder what THEY will do?
As an astute FReeper noted, the Deep State really did their homework on this one.
