Reusable Chinese spacecraft lands successfully: state
Posted on 09/06/2020 6:03:51 PM PDT by RomanSoldier19
An experimental reusable spacecraft launched into orbit two days ago by China has successfully returned to a designated site on Sunday, marking a breakthrough that could lead to cheaper round-trips to space, the official Xinhua reported.
The mission had been kept low-key, and state media had yet to publish photographs or video footage of both the launch and landing of the spacecraft. No details were ■ given on the technologies that had been tested

I’m so glad that we’re just giving away boatloads of technology to the chinese that cost multitrillions of dollars to develop.

Successfully from the Chinese doesn’t necessarily
mean the crew survived. Probably unmanned.

Also a reusable space craft isn’t reusable until
it’s flown TWICE.

Unless they hacked into SpaceX and stole the technology. If SpaceX were hacked they wouldn’t necessarily announce it to the world.

The problem with flying in a Chinese spacecraft...you land safely and an hour later your ready to go back into space.

There are hints that it might be a rough counterpart to the US Air Forces X-37B space plane. In 2017, China said it wanted to launch an aircraft-like reusable space vehicle by 2020. The China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation hoped to have a space plane ready by 2025, albeit
primarily for space tourism.
