For the first time, the Democrats may have to fight for the Indian American vote, especially that of the older generation. The younger generation remains firmly with the Democratic Party. It is in fact in the forefront criticizing India, something that also deeply irks the “uncles and aunties” as the first generation is jokingly called.

Sounds a lot like what's going on with the Jewish vote and Israel. The bigger context here is what the "younger generation" of all ethnicities is being taught in American schools, which is invariably to support the Democrat/"progressive" position on anything.

For so many reasons, Indians belong in the Republican coalition, and it is very wise politics for the Republicans to court them.

The Trump campaign has been courting them actively and effectively from the start of the first campaign. Ivanka is as well known in India as a Bollywood celebrity, and gets gushed over there. Mass rallies of Indian Americans for Trump (like the gigantic “Howdy Modi” stadium filler in Texas) have been occurring, and Indian-Americans have been regular guests at the Trump White House, celebrating Diwali for the cameras.

Structurally, the Dems are clearly aligned with India’s two worst enemies - Pakistan (read “Muslims”) and China.

When Trump denounces islamic terrorism, Indian-American crowds erupt. He could take a smoke break, waiting for the applause to subside. It is a real visceral thing for them.

This year, Indians are in a rage against China, after the most lethal border incursion in about fifty years. Indians have been uninstalling Chinese apps from their phones and boycotting Chinese products. The Indian Government has put a screeching halt to Chinese investment in Imdia, and appears to be on a world-class economic de-coupling drive from China. Meanwhile, the Democrats (and the Biden family itself), are clearly the pro-Chinese Party.

These are big levers, to pry Indian-American votes away from the Democratic Party, and President Trump has been steadily and energetically working the charm on his side.

The problem I see is most Indian Americans live in California so a shift toward Trump won’t help much.

Every bit helps us. Think positive.

In addition to aligning over the Hindu/Muslim, or India/China issues; there might also be a BJP/Congress divide influencing Indian-Americans.

BJP-leaning voters may begin seeing the Republicans as the US corollary, while Congress Party-leaning (as well as, of course, communists) might see the Democratic Party as their US corollary. Like Iraeli Likudniks, or British Tories, BJP loyalists may view the Republicans as the ones aligned with their team.

Kind of like the Jews, the Socialist Bundists are Democrat, while the Zionists, who support Israel tend to be more Republican.

FAST?

Trump has made a concerted effort since DAY ONE of his presidency to elevate the importance of our relationship with India.

He speaks highly and often about India. I don’t recall any other president doing so for years!

Just like with Blacks, he has highlighted his support for them with REAL DEEDS not election time platitudes.

Trump will get UNPRECEDENTED support from Blacks, Hispanics, Indian Americans, Jews, and even Democrats all contributing to his LANDSLIDE victory.

Unprecedented support doesn’t nor needn’t mean a majority.
He doesn’t need that. Democrats as a political party, gain power by “blocks” of voters. Like 90% of the Black vote, but because of their dependence on these blocks they NEED to maintain ALL of that block. They CAN’T afford to lose even 10% of that vote.

If Trump were to pull just that amount of the Black vote, it’s CURTAINS for the Democrats. Trump is/has been doing this with many of the Democrat’s “blocks”. 10% here, 5% there, 20% there = LANDSLIDE!

Coattails = TOTAL control of the Federal government!

Presidency, Senate, House for (at least) 2 years!

Could a President Trump get anything done in TWO YEARS with a Republican House and Senate?

YOU BETCHA!

Biden said Indians stink.

The quote is out there.

Biden is one of the most racist people I know of who hold a political position. The DNC knows this so they sprinkled some Harris shade on the ticket.Harris HATES Biden.

On the flip side, no groups are peeling off of the Republican base.

I can think of a better solution than “courting the immigrant vote”.

My bad...typing in tub

Demographics is a bigger culprit than Democrats who are bad enough admittedly but the GOPe has enabled this

Even now most of them leave Trump to fight his own battles

I watched Kevin McCarthy on cspan the other day

I mean really....that’s best we can do?
