I have a friend who I’ve known since high school. She works as a nurse at the VA. I knew her family growing up. They were die hard MA Democrats. She was a never Trumper in 2016.

I talked to her the other day; she has changed her tune. She said the change at the VA has been incredible. She is now not only a strong supporter, but she is a vocal supporter of Trump.

I guess you can “listen” to stuff from nameless people. Or you can watch people who are on the front lines and see how they are acting. It is pretty clear to me.

I know...I just don't understand how someone can be a Leftist, and take the Oath required to serve. Leftism is utterly inconsistent with the oath, and with the Constitution in general.

And I don't understand how scum like these people would have been allowed to have a career, knowing what they weren't afraid to hide:

Hell, I'll criticize her.

Serving your country, and even more so, being wounded in the service of your country earns gratitude and default respect.

But as Benedict Arnold, John Kerry, and John McCain have amply demonstrated, you can serve your country, and lose that default respect due to your actions both in and out of the military. She took an oath:

Duckworth has not only violated this oath, but has thrown in her lot with people who wish to destroy this country.

Of course, President Trump knows nothing about ”sacrifice”. The past few years have been one long golf game for him.

You are correct. Somehow, our CIC has manage to crush ISIS, and destroy the dreams of a caliphate without dragging us into a single stupid war. Or starting a stupid war.

That's definitely true - it's most noticeable when they run for political office, like this gal, and that gun-grabber Kelly in Arizona.

It's also worth remembering (given some of the public comments about General Kelly) that being a top-notch commander, even a war-winning general, does not necessarily mean the same officer will be successful in politics. General Eisenhower was apparently a competent president, whereas General Grant was perhaps less well-equipped for that particular office...
