Picture this: The tree is a Dogwood, less than thirty feet tall, but bushy. He’s done zero to prep for the cut (clearing the ground or preparing a retreat, or de-limbing to thing so he has more control). He’s made a single cut (no hinge cut!) about three quarters of the way through the trunk. He’s cutting about two inches above the ground, which means he can’t simultaneously complete his cut while watching the felling zone.
The tree has already shifted several degrees - straight for my greenhouse - and is ready to go at any moment. I approach the fence and ask, “Do you have even a clue what you’re doing?”
“I’m cutting tree!” he replies in a Captain Obvious moment.
“You do realize that you’re making the cut wrong and now the tree is aimed at my property? You do realize that if you drop that tree on my property it will get very expensive for you very quickly, right?!”
“I’m doing my best” he replies.
He ties a piece of light-duty cord to the trunk at about head height (which for him was about five feet), and standing about ten feet away yanks on the cord - in his own direction. The tree shrugs and falls, hitting both him and grazing his own house.
“Are you OK?” I ask.
“Yeah” he groaned back.

That is correct. And you may film the police if you are not impeding in their job. (That definition varies by jurisdiction...know your rules.)

If one side is “prohibiting” you from working...that is the side that is against the Constitution. I’ve had cops not “happy” that I was photographing them. But none ever tried to stop me. And more than one has suggested I get out of the way of some on coming danger.
For over 100 days he shows the streams for left and right (mostly left) of Portland ANTIFA fighting police and destroying the city every night. The rioters meet every night at the same spot and then march to fight with Police every night. It is not a protest it is anarchy. If they are not lighting fires and destroying property they are marching through peaceful Portland residential neighborhoods flashing lights beating drums screeching on megaphones to wake the F up and nobody sleeps unless you join the anarchy. The police chase them out of the neighborhoods and those they arrest are released immediately by the corrupt DA.
Mayor Ted Wheeler supports all this and when he joined the protest they tried to beat him up. Than they protested outside his downtown condo several times and the last time lighting it on fire and destroying the building entry. The Mayor is now leaving before the other 100 tenants sue his ass.
The same 10,000 people that watch the PT News Network streams live every night see the same ANTIFA rioters every night and identify them by name. A man named Poppins wearing a dress and beating a drum and breaking glass or spray painting a police station. Militant Mom streaming and rioting as fake press. Trumpet man and 100 others like him. Nobody is held accountable and the city is a hostage to violent protesters every single night. Now they are shooting people and lying about it. The same cars that rolled up before and at the time of the Patriot Prayer victim Jay Danielson assassinated and shot by 100% Antifa Michael Reinoehl, are seen every night at the protests and riots coordinating this all.
The article dose not mention any of this at all. This article is another cover story to hide the real truth. I know I have watched these streams every night for the last 6 weeks. Kenosha was predictable following the rush to judgment of the police action because of the false narrative on social media. The Portland killer is seen on private security video from a hotel showing him walking up behind the victim as a planned attack and absolutely destroys and debunks any notion of a lying self defense concocted story. Just like this article is a half truth concoction, but yes people select and chose the portions of video they want to capture and not the whole truth and the whole story.
That truth is that BLM is not peaceful and is a terror organization. Rochester Showed everyone that last night. Kenosha showed it a week ago. St. Louis and Minneapolis showed it. BLM is a marxist terror group.
ANTIFA is a terrorist group of anarchists wanting to destroy America.

There are some police precincts that have really small cameras mounted on glasses/sunglasses. Could also get someone really tall to hold it straight up. Maybe mount it on a stick as well - you can mount more than one for multiple synchronized viewing angles. Drones would be great too, as they would likely be hard to hear over the incessant screeching.
No idea why people are not using drones.

The video from some of the “Press” streamers is most likely used live by Antifa for situational awareness. A way to direct their “troops” and know where the police are. Hopefully our good guys are also tuning in.

I suppose professionals can do that, but if I am felling anything that has any substance to it at all, I cut it about 3-4 feet up so I can do it standing straight up so I can get out of the way if I need to.

I did review the video (see, I didn’t call it the “tape”!).
We have a six foot cyclone fence dividing our yards. From the vantage point of the camera all you can see is the tree shivering and then falling over. Disappointing!
