Authorities are reviewing the situation of a priest who told Catholics to disobey the orders of Church and civic officials regarding masks at Mass and other religious services.
In a video posted on YouTube Tuesday, Fr. Daniel Nolan told Catholics “do not obey the bishop, do not obey the governor. They cannot tell you to wear a mask. This is a lie. They are lying to all of us.”
“If your bishop tells you, don’t do it. And I encourage everybody not to wear a mask. And I am telling you: disobey your bishop, disobey your governor. That’s what I’m telling you,” Nolan added.
His remarks came at the conclusion of a catechetical session offered at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Littleton, Colorado, which posted the video on YouTube Tuesday, and took it down on Wednesday.
Asked about the importance of obedience, Nolan told parishioners that “we ought to obey God rather than man. And if the bishop tells you to do something that is contrary to your health, contrary to reason, and contrary to the common good, disobey it. And it’s contrary to the common good to continue to go along with an attempted communist takeover of the United States, which is what’s happening.”
Asked in the video about obedience to local Church authorities, Nolan added: “Disobey them all. At this point they have zero authority. These are cooperating in evil. Which is the suppression of the American people. Suppression of your rights, suppression of your liberties, suppression of common sense. The emperor has no clothes. If you are healthy you have a .006% chance of dying from COVID. The flu has a greater chance of killing you, if you’re healthy. So big time lies. This is not politics anymore, this is morality.”

As a catholic, I am glad that this priest stood up to the open stupidity of the bishop and governor. I will be praying for him!
I don’t agree with Catholics on much but I agree on this. Mask orders are nothing but mind control. Unless state legislators pass a bill and the governor signs it, it is not a law, it’s a rule.
OK, it’s an Executive Order. However, Executive Orders only have bearing on those who work for the Executive, not on the citizens.
We have a duty to disobey
Not just state orders but campus rules:
In Boston 11 first year students at Northeastern Univ were dismissed after they were found gathered and not social distancing at the Westin hotel.
They will not be able to attend classes, even remotely, and will not be issued refunds of their $36,500 tuition.
Sounds like a class action lawsuit is in order
This morning I heard they had agreed to it...maybe thought it wouldn’t be
enforced or knew not what kind of punishment
would they get if violated?

“On multiple occasions for the past week, students in the N.U.in Program have been formally notified that they must practice physical distancing, avoid crowds, and wear masks in the presence of other people. The students were required to acknowledge that they had reviewed the program handbook, which included details of the COVID-19 requirements that are meant to keep everyone safe.
“As outlined in the Guide to Residence Hall Living, during COVID-19, per Northeastern University and Massachusetts regulations and guidelines, there will be no guests, visitors, or additional occupants allowed in residential assigned bed spaces during this time; this includes neighbors within your residential building,” reads a passage from page 14 of the N.U.in handbook. “
Apparently the Westin hotel was serving
as residential housing, as was a “W”
hotel but no violations there.
Maybe suspension for this semester only?

I have a valid medical reason for not wearing a mask. I notified the parish office and sent my pastor 4-5 emails explaining why I don’t wear a mask. So a few weeks ago a snowflake got all huffy because I wasn’t mask compliant. She ran and told on me.
Rather than the “good father” defending me, after considerable prayer, he suspended me from church. BTW he teaches law.
The snowflake happened to be an MD. They are blind to the Truth. A very pretentious crowd. More impressed by titles than by deeds. Many are so impressed with themselves, but wet themselves if I don’t wear my mask.
