New video appears to show Michael Reinoehl hiding in an alcove as Danielson walks by, then pursuing him.
That video, shot from a different angle and from a higher vantage point than Dunlap's street-level perspective, provides what appears to be a shot of Reinoehl lying in wait for Danielson and his friend, Chandler Pappas.
Lead Det. Rico Beniga describes in the search warrant affidavit what the video shows:
Shortly before 8:45, Reinoehl "turns into the garage entry and reaches toward his left front waist area," Beniga writes. "Reinoehl conceals himself, waits and watches as Danielson and Pappas continue walking by."
Pappas and Danielson walk south on 3rd Avenue where they "do not appear to interact or communicate with anyone."
"Danielson appears to be holding a can in his left hand and what appears to be an expandable baton in his right hand," Beniga notes. "After Danielson and Pappas walk by, Reinoehl begins to emerge from garage while still reaching toward the pocket or pouch on his waistband."
Reinoehl and an unidentified associate then follow Pappas and Danielson as they cross 3rd westbound, Beniga writes. "The shooting occurred shortly thereafter and is not captured on the surveillance video."

Its great that US Marshals got Reinoehl and all....but he had accomplices. There were spotters and people set up to film it etc. These people are also guilty of first degree murder since they were part of the criminal conspiracy. When do the feds take them down?

So, there’s still an accomplice-to-murder suspect walking around. Will Portland PD go after him, or will they just wait for the US Marshall’s to nab him?

Laying in wait is considered an aggravating circumstance, one that could have made it a capital murder charge, at least in some jurisdictions.
The guy on the skateboard was Reinoehl's partner I believe. He was standing right next to Reinoehl when he fired twice. Reinoehl began backing up slowing. His right arm was still extended. The guy with the skateboard took off running back up the street to the intersection and headed off to the right of the screen. Reinoehl, still backing up, turns around, and then ran off in the same direction as the skateboard guy.
My guess is if they’re true believers they’ve gone to ground

You better watch the sons of bitches with skate boards. Don’t let one sneak up behind you unless you want your brains knocked out. They need to start getting maimed each time the opportunity presents itself.
The people behind the victim - in particular the woman in the striped dress — can be seen earlier in the Dunlap video moving seemingly in concert to follow behind the victim.
it’s almost as if the victim was being herded by them.
At least it kind of looks that way to me.
The guy with the skateboard does not run when shots are fired. He does not even duck or dive down. He acts without fear as if he knows that shots are coming. He then is seen picking up the shell casings and than picking up his skateboard and than slowly walking away in the opposite direction of the shooter.
There’s a person who starts to leave the scene, then goes back to pick up what looks like a mic boom...a long pole of some kind, and then walks back across to the other side of the street. Jay is on the ground, and his friend has already pulled up, or is pulling up to the scene as the guy is picking up the pole. The guy who is standing next to Reinoehl when he shoots, takes off after the shots are fired. I don’t recall seeing him pick anything up, but he could be in the shadows. He takes off back up to the corner of the street at the intersection, and that’s the same way Reinoehl takes off.
I’m 73. I don’t go walking anywhere, and where I live, we don’t have many skateboarders that I recall even seeing. We haven’t had any problems since this crap started the end of May. The only crap we’ve had to contend with is Cuomo’s horse$hit.
Funny, I didn’t think twice about skateboarders, but now, I immediately think the worst.
