Vietnam, yes. Afghanistan, no; at least initially. What was wrong with going into Afghanistan was that we stayed waaaaaaay too long.
Isn’t that what the media, in all their wisdom, has been telling us for the last 50 years? That Vietnam war was a big mistake and a waste? In fact, this accusation sounds suspiciously like the media narrative so much, I tend to think they said it, and not Trump.
