I was USAF 1970-1974. We were NEVER defeated militarily in Vietnam. The f***ing politicians who started the war and then wouldn’t let us truly fight it lost it. It is one of the reasons I so viscerally hate Democrats: They cut off the funding and surrendered, pretty much cutting Nixon off at the knees.
It was the parents of the now socialists who gave the war such a bad name and bad home coming.... today their offspring are trying to oust our President and change the nation.

If I were in charge at the time, parts of afghanistan such as tora bora and kandahar would have seen a bright flash milliseconds before the ambient temperature reaches that of the sun followed by a mushroom cloud within 45 minutes of the second tower being hit.
Our troops would have been sent in to mop up, and any pockets of resistance would have been dealt with a Mud Hen @ 30,000ft dropping a B61 “dial-a-yield”.
All our troops would have been home by December 2001.

I think you have fallen for the left’s narrative of the Vietnam war. It was militarily won. The North was on their knees and gave way to a peace accord that supposedly ended the war. The troops then went through a draw down phase.
The South Vietnamese were stabbed in the back by not being supported. As a result, the North invaded and the South lacked materials (such as bullets and gasoline) to fight them off. I recall reports that the South’s tanks ran out of fuel defending Saigon.
This war was won twice. First by the military. Second by the Democrats that defunded the South. By defunding the south they won the war for their communist allies.
Because the left got by with so much in the 60’s & 70’s, we have what we have today. Commies on our own soil.
They have to name two sources on this. Or it cannot be believed.
