“goldberg doesn’t like Trump either
Both these critters have the air of being higher and mightier than anyone else.”

Goldberg is a big anti-Trumper, and now basically a rich, liberal elite New Yorker. His mother is Lucianne Goldberg of the more mildly conservative eponymous website “Lucianne”.

Goldberg has a very high opinion of himself, and loathes Trump.

Buttigieg .. remember him? ... he is saying what Trump musta said... he was so glad to be asked the qestion... boy, the haters are out in full force on this one... and it’s silly to use a supposed quote all afternoon and evening... as if there is nothing else out there..

It was a dumb war...and they got no thanks back home... it was an awful time for the country.

Vietnam was a tragedy of vapid leadership to support the dying pro French colonialist regime. You take the losing side and fight badly and cannot be surprised when you lose. The mission to retaliate against the Taliban, Al Qaeda and there uncles and cousins for 9-11 was a first rate mission. Morphing that into “saving” Afghanistan was silly.

“It’s gonna get much worse. No matter the outcome of this election,I see no way to avoid a civil war.”

I hate to say it, but we are IN a civil war right now; it is just a low-grade one now, but it is bound to heat up.

Worst of all the Government of South Vietnam was almost entirely pro-Catholic, even though the vast majority of the country was Buddhist.

Hardly a good way to win “hearts and minds”.

I thought Griffin was long gone from Fox. Haven’t seen her in ages.

My understanding is that before his assassination, JFK was getting disenchanted with the war and was going to take steps to get us out. Once LBJ got in, he ramped things back up.

My take is similar, JFK was horrified at the assassination
of Diem and wanted to withdraw. Johnson needed the war
to continue to distract from his social program plans.

Johnson’s social spending killed the space program and
started the destruction of the black family unit.

As for JFK, I believe Johnson was the one who benefited
from his death...

I knew nothing about politics when I came home from RVN.
I have been paying attention ever since.

“the Dem and the media are the same thing.”

“Obviously. Biden had an ad ready to go the moment this broke.”

They all collude with each other. The dnc colludes with the media, the never trumpers colludes with the DNC, and the media colludes with the never trumpers. It’s one big old circle jerk of chimpanzees trying to out fling each other’s poop.

“it is still anonymous. There are people on the record denying it. The source has to go on the record or STFU!“
********************************************************
If there even was a source. The media is so corrupt and so desperate now I wouldn’t be surprised if the JOURNALISTS make the fiction up without needing to solicit agreeable “sources” to make the fiction up. Hell, cut out the middleman and make up crap yourself.

Lost in all this kerfuffle, was that Joe Biden got deferments because of “asthma”, nevermind that he was a three-sport athlete in high school and was on the Delaware freshman football team.

Bring it up and we're going to be treated to weeks of learned explanations of bone spurs and how many deferments Trump got.

As I always say, can anyone imagine the venom spewing if the Mueller team had one percent of what Barr is sitting on like a big fat Buddha?

“Whether she “supportedHillary” as you say, or supported Bush-McCain-Romney-Cheney-BillKristol, doesn’t matter.”

Yes it does, and any thinking Freeper knows it. You want her to be a neocon. Bully. She is and was a lefty and a big supporter of Hillary Clinton, and she hates Trump. As Biden would say, PERIOD.

Nothing except how to start them, both foreign and domestic.

“I would be stunned if Trump said anything like this.”

If he said anything — and I don’t think he did — it was probably something along the lines of “those poor guys that were sent to Vietnam were played for suckers by the politicians that sent them there.”

Isn’t that what the media, in all their wisdom, has been telling us for the last 50 years? That Vietnam war was a big mistake and a waste? In fact, this accusation sounds suspiciously like the media narrative so much, I tend to think they said it, and not Trump.

How many times have you said something to someone and they took it in a whole different vein than what you meant..

same with texts.... they are usually taken from the reader’s view..not the writer’s.

But biden... does he know what can be released out about him and his son????
