That was my guess, but I was wrong. The person was surrounded and panicked. They stomped on the gas and got the hell out. It could have been bad, but (luckily for the driver) everyone scrambled out of the way and no one was hurt. These idiot "protesters" deserve what they get if they go into the street and intimidate people in cars. That is not legitimate protesting. That said, had anyone been seriously injured or killed, the driver would need a very good lawyer. Both criminal and civil.

Years ago I worked in a labor union in NYC in the ‘80’s.Renovated a building right on the corner of 42nd, and 6th. Ave. Used to see stuff like this happen a lot.
There was no Antifa or BLM in those days but man, if you didn’t cross 42nd fast enough cars didn’t wait for you. You either got out of the way or you got run over.

As I recall the stories from my mother, who passed quite a while ago, we lived on a busy street when I was very young and she taught me from the time I started walking to stay out of the street.
Somehow these adults did not get the message about not playing in the street.
In reality it looked like someone just trying to get through a mob on the street with the mob intent on blocking them instead of arranging for safe passage.
So that’s the headline. But what is the real story????
