The new political divisions are no longer liberal/conservative but rather BLM socialism/MAGA populism.
The traditional 80s "conservative firebrand" is a shrinking minority and will find that there will be a lot of people in the MAGA/populist camp who don't check every conservative bonafide box (as President Trump himself didn't).
Good point and no argument from me. Trump has definitely changed the playing field on the right.
