This has caused quite a stir, with Facebook saying it will no longer be able to collect iPhone identifiers for advertisers (IDFA) from users, hugely impacting the business model of itself and its advertisers....

If they keep this up I might consider an apple. However it's probably just a way to steal business from Facebook.

Apple is not in the ad business and so cannot ‘steal’ anything from FB. Google is also in the ad business and that’s what their Android OS does: sell ads. Android is the least private of the two OSes.
