I think nuclear power should be a major part of our energy future.
I know I’m in a minority thinking that way. Nuclear produces no greenhouse gases, but that doesn’t matter to the enviro extremists who make policy nowadays.
The fact is, there is no perfect zero emission, zero environmental impact form of energy anywhere. We can and should minimize environmental damage. But the enviro extremists take a concept of clean environment way too far.
“The fact is, there is no perfect zero emission, zero environmental impact form of energy anywhere.”
What about Hydrothermal or Geothermal sourced electricity?
Natural gas (which North America has an abundance of) is a great resource. It can be piped and shipped efficiently and it burns very clean. I don’t know why the greenies aren’t all over it, that’s if they actually just cared about the environment and not their communist agendas.
Really? That's not even 1% true. The $20 billion price tag should be your first clue. Despite the triple meltdowns at Fukushima using American technology, building a nuclear plant is still allowed, but the idea is now radioactive.
>>I think nuclear power should be a major part of our energy future.<<
If we can’t develop our oil&gas industry, we have to go nuclear unless we expect our Armed Forces to accept the Tesla technology.
