President Trump said Monday that he is not planning to meet with members of Jacob Blake’s family while in Kenosha, Wis., because they wanted to have “lawyers involved” which he called “inappropriate.”
“I spoke with the pastor, wonderful man, the family’s pastor. I thought it would be better not to do anything where there are lawyers involved,” Trump told reporters Monday when asked why he wasn’t planning to meet with the Blake family during his trip to Wisconsin on Tuesday.
“They wanted me to speak but they wanted to have lawyers involved and I thought that was inappropriate so I didn’t do that,” Trump continued. “I may at some point do that, but they did have a lawyer that wanted to be on the phone and I said, no that’s inappropriate, but I just gave my best regards.”
On Tuesday, Trump will visit Kenosha, which has been the site of protests and in some cases violence since last week after Blake, a Black man, was shot in the black seven times by a police officer. Blake is currently in critical condition in the hospital following his injuries. The Justice Department has launched a civil rights investigation into the shooting.
White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said on Fox News earlier Monday that the administration has been “efforting outreach” to the Blake family but hadn’t been able to connect with them. Chief of staff Mark Meadows left messages with the Blake family and has been speaking with the family’s pastor, his office said.

So he wanted to meet the criminal’s family, but not a word about the cop who was put into that position by Blake’s bad decisions. I can understand the optic’s, but I’m sure that cop did not go to work with the intention of shooting someone. Because of the irresponsibility of our press, he is surely worried about being prosecuted, if only to appease the mob. He is surely worried about being sued and losing his job, but Trump wants to meet with the crook’s family. Maybe he can take them some brussels sprouts.

Almost all of the limited reporting on Jacob S. Blake’s criminal record and misconduct relates to the short time that he has been in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was originally from Evanston, Illinois, a city immediately north of Chicago. He is no stranger to the courts in Cook County, particularly the paternity and child support courts. The various mothers of his six out of wedlock children have all filed paternity suits against him from 2011 to the present day. Indeed, Laquisha Booker, now claiming to be Blake’s alleged fiancee (a move that seems prompted by dreams of sharing a sizeable payday), filed actions for nonpayment of child support against him twice in the past year.

Who in their right mind would want a lawyer shepherding a families reactions to a condolence call from the President of the US?!! Someone looking to financially gain somehow from it via lawsuit or a book deal somewhere or something else sinister. No, the President made the correct call here.

I can 100% guarantee it wasn't the family's idea to involve lawyers. Whatever the lawyer's intentions, they were trying to take advantage of the President. Either for their own benefit or POTUS's detriment. Maybe both.

Sounds like the family wanted to turn it into a circus with their race baiting lawyer Crump in attendance over their low life criminal son who was looking to retrieve a knife.The President has more important things to do like honor true heroes, not criminal creeps, who lost their life in service to the country.
