People who refuse to wear a face mask, or comply with social distancing, are more likely to have sociopath tendencies a study has found. Callousness, deceitfulness, and manipulativeness - possible signs of a sociopath - were traits commonly found among people who broke Covid-19 safety rules. Findings come from a survey of around 1,600 people in Brazil which has the second highest number of reported Covid-19 cases in the world (3.8million). The researchers said these people in society pose a risk to others, considering they still do not obey rules despite cases and deaths climbing. It adds to research done by experts in Poland who made similar findings and said people with psychopathic or narcissistic traits may be more likely to disobey rules to stop the spread of the disease and to hoard essential items like toilet paper.

The terms are old and useless.

However, sociopathology would be associated with antisocial behavior but this is a continuum, so that folks who want to group introverts with antisocial behavior only need to modify their definition slightly to grab 40% of humanity.

Psychopathology is associated with disassociative or hallucinative thought patterns. This is not the definition of psychopathology which just means any psychological illness but most especially organic/physical-based pathologies.

This happened to me Saturday and I pitched an all out fit.

Went to Goodwill. Needed some old jeans to work around my property that will wind up general torn to shreds. I’m a smallish woman (5’4”/125 lbs.) and can wear from a 4 to an 8 depending on the brand as nothing is standard.

So, after wasting over an hour going through all the racks, I had a cart full of them to try on. Get to the dressing room and all the doors are locked! I marched to the counter...ya...had a nice little home made mask on...and told them I needed to try these on. They informed me that due to COVID and the ‘safety of their employee’, the dressing rooms are closed.

Ok. I’m simple minded. The BATHROOMS were open. The donations they were hanging up came from God knows where. The cash they were taking...with UNGLOVED hands came from where? But the dressing rooms were OFF limits. I raised holy hell and was informed they hoped the dressing rooms stayed closed from ‘now on’ for their safety.

Am I missing something, or are people REALLY this stupid!?

I am involved in a ships (1954-72) reunion group (1960-62 for me) and have not heard of ANY members dying as a result of the beerflu and since the ship was decommissioned in 1972 the youngest of the crew would be in the 65 yo range.
And have not heard of any of my former HS classmates falling to beerflu. (Wouldn’t be surprised if some from each etc)

Now the latest report from CDC (I know, I say they are full of Schiff so shouldn’t listen to the ‘good’ reports’) but the # of deaths DIRECTLY from Covid don’t match a ‘normal’ weekend in Chicago (percentage wise)

Also the earlier report that really set me off was the report from CHAMPUS (the group that ‘handles’ Military retirees etc) had made a 600,000 mistake on beerflu tests.

600 thousand isn’t a mistake, it is damn near a CRIMINAL act and many heads should have rolled.

So, having lived through TB, Polio, Measles, Mumps etal, Asian flu (went to Japan/China in the 1957 world ‘pandemic’) mad cow, swine flu, Hong Kong Flu, SARS, state turning D (THAT is a real disaster) and various other ‘the sky is falling’ routines.
