Actually, there is some very unusual language in the complaint. The prosecutor described the people who were shot as the aggressors.
I think this is definitely a political charge but I think the prosecutor just wants to get the trial delayed as much as possible. Self defense looks pretty good if the prosecutor is using that kind of language.

This is more of the Democrats campaign strategy, they are not running on what a Biden presidency would look like, but simply running against Trump. Practically their entire convention was about how Trump was bad, they barely spent any time discussing how they would make it better or fix the supposed mistakes Trump has made.

I’m sorry, I can’t comprehend how what he’s doing does what your post says. I view this as actually supporting the criminal, no matter what the mother says. The guy was attempting to kill police officers. You can’t argue that, so how does meeting with his parents accomplish what you say? I don’t want to see him pandering and that’s what this looks like. He could meet with the police officer forced to take Blake’s life, or how about the family of the young man forced to shoot people to save his life?
