Uh oh. I think I remember now that I was just reaching with key in hand to unlock my parked car in college when I saw the parking meter change to “expired.” The cops will be out to make me prove I’m innocent. I just know it.
IIRC, thousands maybe millions of men of draft age were doing anything and everything to get into college to avoid the draft and stay out of Vietnam.
In fact, there was one president who was a bona fide "draft dodger". With the election of William Jefferson Clinton, that issue IMO has been laid to rest.
