OK, I plead ignorance. Would somebody please explain to me how funding Planned Parenthood doesn’t violate the Hyde Amendment?

Well first and foremost, much of this funding comes from States and Cities. Hyde only bans federal funding.

Secondly, PP has, in some places, split parts of their business. So by having some parts of the business legally separated from the abortion parts, it allows them to partially bypass Hyde. If I remember correctly, this was an issue Trump fought early, requiring these parts to be physically separate buildings in order to qualify, not just different offices across the hallway, since there wasn't much else he could do to fight them.
