Judicial Watch: New Strzok-Page Emails Show FBI Investigated President Trump’s Tweets Critical of Obama and FBI
JUDICIAL WATCH ^ | 8/28/2020 | JUDICIAL WATCH

Posted on 08/28/2020 7:53:09 PM PDT by bitt

Judicial Watch announced today that it received 323 pages of emails between former FBI official Peter Strzok and former FBI attorney Lisa Page. The records include an email from Strzok to other FBI officials about Trump’s tweets regarding them spying on him, as well as their interaction with other media outlets including CNN.

The records were produced to Judicial Watch in a January 2018 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed after the DOJ failed to respond to a December 2017 request for all communications between Strzok and Page (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:18-cv-00154)). The FBI is only processing the records at a rate of 500 pages per month and has refused to process text messages. At this rate, the production of these emails will not be completed until late 2021 at the earliest.

On March 18, 2017, Strzok emails his boss, then-Asst. Director for the Counterintelligence Division Bill Priestap, along with colleagues Jon Moffa and Page, about his research into President Trump’s tweets about being wiretapped:

Sending the tweets in question along with posting times. Doing some research, time stamping in Twitter can be glitchy … [T]he tweet times below were all -3 hours from east coast time, which I adjusted (ie, the first listed as 3:35am). I think I recall reporting at the time described the tweets as occurring around 630, not 330.

Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my “wires tapped” in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism! – Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 4, 2017 6:35 AM

Is it legal for a sitting President to be “wire tapping” a race for president prior to an election? Turned down by court earlier. A NEW LOW! – Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 4, 2017 6:52 AM

I’d bet a good lawyer could make a great case out of the fact that President Obama was tapping my phones in October, just prior to Election! – Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 4, 2017 6:52 AM

How low has President Obama gone to tap my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy! – Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 4, 2017 7:02 AM

On March 29, 2017, then-FBI Director James Comey’s chief of staff, Jim Rybicki, emails then-Executive Assistant Director, National Security Branch Carl Ghattas, former Assistant Director for the Counterintelligence Division Bill Priestap, then-Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, Strzok, Page and then-FBI General Counsel James Baker about a “Sensitive Matter Briefing:”

Rybicki writes, “The Director would like a briefing tomorrow (Thursday) on the sensitive application. [Emphasis added] I just spoke to Pete and gave him the scope. Will probably be at 5pm after the unmasking briefing.”

DoJ would not be releasing them if the investigation was still ongoing. So....that means at least the investigations into Strzok, Page and whoever else was involved, is over. So, soon we’ll see some interesting things.

Did you know it took Durham, and a team, five years to bring down a notorious mafia family some years ago? The crimes he and his team have been investigating now are much worse, with greater numbers of criminals, many formerly in gov positions, and also involving foreign actors.

Why anyone thinks that such a gigantic and complex crimanal investigation leading to indictments and arrests is taking “too long” is beyond my understanding. He won’t take five years with this, from many sources which are reliable including AG Barr, and other signs such as he already “interviewed” Brennal, he is winding up soon. I know a lot of people feel cool and in-crowdy by sounding cynical etc, but defeatism is really un-cool.

I’ll just note that Bagpipe Barr still entertains The Fey Wray as the FBI Director.

Not much lead time required to straighten out that situation.

Seth Rich info mentioned, too. It was suppressed by top FBI.

Also in February, Judicial Watch made public Strzok-Page emails showing their direct involvement in the opening of Crossfire Hurricane, the bureau’s investigation of alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

The records also show additional “confirmed classified emails” were found on Clinton’s unsecure non-state.gov email server “beyond the number presented” in then-FBI Director James Comey’s statements; Strzok and Page questioning the access the DOJ was granting Clinton’s lawyers; and Page revealing that the DOJ was making edits to FBI 302 reports related to the Clinton Midyear Exam investigation.

The emails detail a discussion about “squashing” an issue related to the Seth Rich controversy.

What’s always struck me about Strzok and his communications are that even though he’s the Head of the Counterintelligence Section of the FBI (sounds serious!), his actions, work, and demeanor are those of a teenage cheerleader dealing in high school gossip.

He always so concerned about who in the organization knows what, what some other colleague may have said, what some MSM outlet may have published, who has met with whom, etc... Its pure bureaucratic uselessness. I can’t see anything productive purpose in it (besides his obvious political bias) and it seems to have absolutely nothing at all to do with “Counterintelligence.” If he’s the director of counterintelligence, and he’s such a childish, bureacratic hack - who the hell within the FBI is actually looking for foreign spies?

The Durham-Barr glacier race was never about justice. Not in the slightest.

"Legal Nirvana" will never be reached. The coup plotters and D.C. criminals, from Obama on down, are being protected. They will never be arrested or charged. At the most, an underling or two will be charged with a minor offense. The will cop a plea with the Dept of Injustice, and that will be that.

Thanks for your good and thoughtful, clear-headed post.

I think it will be lost on the majority of those you are speaking to.

For what it’s worth? Their hind sight will probably be close to 20/20 when the methodical Durham’s work is finished and he produces the results he is known for.

We’ve seen it before in this MAGA Age of Trump.

I give Glenn Beck credit for admitting how wrong he was about pretty much EVERYTHING he had said about now President Donald J. Trump four years ago.

Yeah, whatever ... “Welcome to the party, pal.”

Will the Barr and Durham complainers do the same?

People who want to know the truth, the facts, will do whatever it takes to find them. Read varied sources, figure out which sources are more trustworthy and which have agendas to push, and have the humility to know “I don’t know everything, and some of what I think is true may not be”. They have to be willing to think for themselves and not feel compelled to be approved of by any group of people.

The amen chorus on FR of debbie downers and eeyores is steered by facilitators.

I dug up a couple of old FR articles on the Delphi Technique, can see it clearly in action on this related thread:
