Thursday night felt like being in a terrifying dystopian novel. The mob swarmed me and my husband, Sen. Rand Paul, in a tight circle, screaming expletives, threats, and shouting, "Say her name." We rushed up to two police officers, and I believe that is the only thing that kept us from being knocked to the ground. Even pressed against the officers, we were greatly outnumbered.
Maybe this will lessen his libertarian hostility to law enforcement.

And it goes back further than three months. It goes back to 2016 and the early Trump campaign events which were marred by leftist violence.
And really for anyone with a sense of history it goes back quite a bit further still.
Do senators not have any kind of protection detail?
This was disgusting however I am sort of glad it happened there to them because maybe it will be more highlighted and will be stopped. The republicans except for President Trump have not really been calling out the rioting violence but now it was in their face.
Apparently not that night. The Pauls had to walk a block (at 1 a.m.) before hooking up with the two D.C. cops who may have saved their lives.

It was a horrible how the BLM mob threatened Sen. Rand Paul and Kelley Paul. No one should be intimiidated walking in an American city.
D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser failed to provide security for American citizens. She is responsible for the anarchy in D.C. as she has tolerated and encouraged this behavior.

Yea, she and another 7or8 mayors, 6 or 7 Govs and 7or 8 AGs, where is the controlling legal authority? There isn’t any, and while this will probably go away in a couple of months, I don’t think there will ever be justice for those who have already been injured/ killed.
Leftists are posting things on social media claiming that the Pauls staged this, purposely inserting themselves into the mob as publicity stunt / photo op. Such a twisted, sick, deranged mentality on the left. The left in this country is out of control. This is very much starting to look like 1910s Russia, 1930s Spain, 1940s China, 1950s Cuba, etc. If we lose in November, God help us. And even if we win, God help us because this is getting ugly.

Tucker Carlson's video of the mob pushing against the cops who were protecting the Pauls says otherwise. George Soros could pay for a mob like that, Rand Paul could not.

Have to say I didn't think the black community could alienate me any more than they have since these protests/riots first started.....but there's nothing they could do or say now or in the future that will change the disdain I have toward them and their culture of violence. I will oppose 'anything' they want or demand.
Rand should submit legislation to make it illegal for telecom to own news operations. That would be the appropriate FU2 to ATT and Comcast.
