The chief of police in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where two people were shot and killed on a night of protests after Jacob Blake's shooting, appeared to shift the blame for the shooting to those who broke the city's curfew.
During a Wednesday news conference, Kenosha Police Chief Daniel Miskinis said the shooting may not have happened if demonstrators and the accused gunman had obeyed the city's newly imposed 8 p.m. curfew.
"Everybody involved was out after the curfew," Miskinis said. "I'm not gonna make a great deal of it but the point is -- the curfew's in place to protect. Had persons not been out involved in violation of that, perhaps the situation that unfolded would not have happened

Kind of like that old phrase, “nothing good ever happens after midnight”.
Then why didn’t he enforce the curfew?
maybe he should’ve enforced the curfew...
People...
Mostly peaceful...
Let’s see - there are laws against setting private property on fire, against breaking and entering, against looting, assault and so on. So, do you think those that intend to loot and burn are going to pay attention to a curfew?
He’s right...there were about 300 still on the streets after curview and many unwilling to move out.
Maybe the ‘Rats should stop funding, enabling and encouraging ANTIFA/BLM?
So, Chief, how many did you arrest for violating curfew, hmmmmm?
Certainly an invitation for an alteration, nothing good ever happens after curfew"
Its good to protect the city from liability.
Not quite as good as protecting the city from riots.
But these days you gets what you gets.
He says that while his officers were lounging two blocks away. The young man with the rifle was actually clearing the streets, albeit clumsily.
And if the Communist Rat mayor, Communist Rat DA, Communist Rat Governor, and Communist Rat Police Chief ever decided to do their jobs instead of being on the Antifa payroll, then these riots would end immediately.
Don't you think that horse is out of the barn if it comes down to blaming things on violating a curfew?

Also not trying to kill a guy holding an AR-15 might help.
So that’s two things right there that could have prevented the shootings.
It's a true fact but it's just like the press to utilize such language as weaponized criticism. Jacob Blake wouldn't have been shot if he hadn't wrestled with the cops, if tasing him hadn't failed, if he wasn't carrying a knife, if he wasn't resisting arrest and putting everyone--children included--in harms way. If he had stayed away from the girlfriend, where he was not welcomed, he wouldn't have been shot because the police wouldn't have been called.
He had been down this road before at least once in 2015, resisted arrest, and had a gun in his vehicle. It's not like he should be surprised by there being consequences to his actions.
Yeah but...were the police, national guard, governor, et al enforcing the curfew????
I’m gonna cut the police chief some slack here. He asked for 750 National Guard troops to help right away. Governor said 250 I think, and Trump offered to make up the difference, but the Gov refused Trump’s offer. On top of that, Gov only supplied 150, and not even the 250 promised. So if true, the local police didn’t get the resources they thought they needed. This is ALL on the Governor.
