During the third night of the 2020 RNC convention, Chinese dississent and civil rights attorney Chen Guangcheng, who has been blind since childhood, conducted his speech by reading braille and speaking in his second language. He warned about the evils of the Chinese Communist Party [CCP] after experiencing their tyranny firsthand.
"Standing up to tyranny is not easy. I know. When I spoke out against China’s 'one child' policy and other injustices, I was persecuted, beaten, and put under house arrest by the government. In April, 2012, I escaped and was given shelter in the American embassy in Beijing. I am forever grateful to the American people for welcoming me and my family to the United States where we are now free," Guangcheng said. "The Chinese Communist Party is an enemy of humanity. It is terrorizing its own people and it is threatening the well-being of the world. In China, expressing beliefs or ideas not approved by the CCP - religion, democracy, human rights - can lead to prison. The nation lives under mass surveillance and censorship. The CCP is focused on power and control, and acts without regard to the law or to human rights. Countless activists have disappeared or are under house arrest. Just consider the sad plight of the Uyghurs in concentration camps."
Guangcheng also discussed the CCP's latest assault on the world.
"The coronavirus pandemic, originating in China—and covered up by the CCP—has caused mass death and social upheaval around the world. In the same way, the virus of the CCP is threatening the people of the world. The policy of appeasement of former administrations—including Obama and Biden—has allowed the CCP to infiltrate and corrode different aspects of the global community," he said.
The US must use its values of freedom, democracy, and the rule of law, to gather a coalition of other democracies to stop China’s aggression. President Trump has led on this and we need the other countries to join him in this fight. A fight for our future," Guengcheng continued.

Biden is endorsed by the Chinese Communist Party, they blinded this guy, Biden has not disavowed their support, SO, Joe Biden is in favor of blinding political dissidents. Everyone who plans on voting for Biden also has these views. Somebody on a Fox News Panel ask Donna why she thinks it’s okay to blind political opponents.

Right off the bat, CNN lauds the ever merciful O' administration for pulling this guy out of China, through the US Embassy.
While he expressed gratitude at the time, Chen has emerged as a frequent and fierce critic of the Obama administration and Democratic politics in general -- with critics accusing him of espousing ring-wing views and conspiracy theories.
No mention of his fight against forced abortion in China, no mention of CCP abuses of he and his family, no mention that it was only that he fled into the embassy a month before Hillarys! state visit, that the O' admin tried to do anything to diffuse the situation.
And shock that a pro-life dissident and activist would ever speak out against O'.

Chinese Activist 'Very Disappointed' in the U.S., Says Officials Lied To Him
A little over 12 hours after blind Chinese activist Chen Guangcheng was released from the U.S. embassy in Beijing, which he had fled to after escaping house arrest, Chen now says that American officials encouraged him to leave the safe haven of the embassy building, in part by making promises that they failed to keep.
In an interview with CNN's Steven Jiang, he expressed deep disappointment with the U.S. and with President Barack Obama personally.
He said that embassy officials were no longer picking up his calls and that he already felt his rights being "violated" by the Chinese government, which had promised him his freedom in exchange for him leaving the embassy.
He strenuously and repeatedly asked the U.S. and Obama to help him and his family leave China.
The interview portrays Chen as furious at the U.S., which he had only 24 hours ago seen as his greatest hope, and portrays the Obama administration as having sold out the high-profile activist, who in 2005 made an enemy of the Chinese government when he campaigned against thousands of forced abortions and forced sterilizations.

He was persecuted in China because he stood up for women who underwent forced abortions by the CCP under the 1 child policy.
He fled his house arrest surveillance in the middle of the night to the US embassy in Beijing, but Hillary being the then Sec of State was going to hand him back to the CCP authorities.
Hillary was ultimately thwarted by Chris Smith. This is why I suspect Chen appeared in the Republican NC, he knows when the chips are down, who are his friends and who are friends of the CCP.

No. When Chen was about six months old, he lost his sight due to a fever that destroyed his optical nerves. But he is correct about how ruthless they are to stop the spread of the truth.
I know. I’m for making the Biden people explain how they are only in favor of punishing dissidents, but will stop short of actual blindings.

I bet he (and President Trump and any member of the RNC responsible for his appearance) will not be getting any invites to any NBA games in the near future. I wasn’t able to even make out his speech , YouTube was buffering soooooo bad.
Curious,,,I watched hours of YouTube on my T-Mobile hotspot before rnc with no buffering,,and hours after with no buffering,,
but rnc buffered the whole night.
Anyone else notice selective buffering of YouTube rnc coverage on your carriers ?
I put up with it just in case some black hat was trying to drive viewers away or drive viewers count down,
and I plan on watching this courageous man’s speech today , and to see if the coincidental buffering occurs again.
In a way, I did mean that. I’m ready for them to get the “when did you stop beating your wife” questions for once. It will never happen, but it’s fun to imagine.
