“Looters and arsonists will be shot.”
There’s so many that you can’t put them in prisons or holding camps. And, they will immediately be glorified as “political prisoners. There needs to be some real downside to rioting.
Someone posted that the rioters, presumably out of town inciters, parked cars at a Target lot that had no license plates or covered license plates. Those should have their tires punctured immediately, then be towed and ownership-traced at leisure.
There has been absolutely NO effort to roll up the organizations supporting the rioters with training, transportation, legal support, and communications gear.
A dusk-dawn curfew and road checks to stop busloads of out-state rioters from showing up would be a good start
Find out who is chartering those buses

Exactly, and these groups are organized. Heck they even have imbedded medics! That organization does not come from kids at their keyboards.

The hell you can't!
During the 1968 MLK riots in Washington DC, police, NG, and Federal troops restored order by making the DC Beltway a cordon sanitaire effectively blockading the city against 'outside agitators' entering the city.
Check points searched cars inbound and a sizable number detained and sent to the DC Stadium & Armory for questioning and all.
NG patrolled the burning zones with fixed bayonets and loaded magazines. Airborne units were deployed around the White House, Treasury buildings with APCs, jeeps with .50 cal pintle mounted locked and loaded machine guns. Capitol, Supreme Court and other Federal buildings received the same protection.
Only took three days of curfew and lock down to quiet things down...and yes rioters and looters were shot. IIRC Federal troops remained deployed for about a week after blockade was lifted.
I was there, stranded in Rosyln Virginia across the Potomac. Saw the columns of smoke rising from work places which overlooked the Iwo Jima Memorial.
All it takes is will and resolve.
Don't recall anyone one whining about the optics back then. ACLU bitchin' came later.
And BTW, rioting and looting was happening in every major city across the country and resolved in much the same manner.
In 1968 not every major city had Interstate Beltways, now most do...keep in mind that the Interstate Highway system was designed by President Eisenhower as the National Defense Highway system to rapidly move troops and material for just such events...rapid commuter access was just bonus side effect.

They did similar in a Texas city.
Their cars had Trump/Pence stickers put on them while parked.
Rioters came back to cars destroyed by their own folks.
