You are mistaken. You may have heard other people shooting and assumed it was him.
He demonstrated outstanding threat identification and restraint.
After getting kicked to the ground, he fired on the man who hit him in the head with the skateboard as that man was trying to take control of the rifle.
The man who had his arm shot was rushing towards him with a pistol (I think a small glock) in his right hand. He freezes a few feet from the shooter with his hands held up in front of him signalling surrender, still holding the glock in his right hand. After freezing for a moment he appears to “make his move” and only after that aggression is he shot in the arm. All the while another man had also frozen with his hands up a few feet from the shooter. That man was allowed to retreat is safety.
I hear 4 shots which I think we both agree were fired from the rifle. The other shots heard later clearly were being fired elsewhere. I will concede that my previous description of how he conducted fire discipline is overblown.
