Which experts should we trust? The experts at the CDC or the experts who criticize the CDC?
Stop asking questions and wear your damn mask!
Chuckle...
Their advice changes substantially every few weeks. Know whose never changes?
The only consistent and good advice is to wash your hands, but twenty seconds isn’t what I call a good hand wash.
You dare to question the experts? I shall need to report you to the proper authorities.
It’s not a matter of trusting science, it’s a matter of picking which “scientist” to follow, as science — at least in the public sector — has devolved into “opinion” ... a form of “political science” or “social science” which both are quite meaningless when it comes to “science”.
Uhhhhh....wait. I thought The CDC was “the experts”. Stop moving my cheese!
"We kill you long time."
All these tests for healthy people are a scam to get travel wavers etc. It clogs up labs that are needed for important annual testing.
A lot of good people bit hard on this virus hoax. It was rightfully seen early on as a threat. Now, it is obvious that the real threat is the response to it. Anyone still all-in on this thing is malicious or so neurotic that they need help. It’s a flu that is dangerous to people who are really old and/or really fat and/or otherwise sick. It is not very dangerous for anyone else. It’s like all the other flus that we didn’t destroy our civilization for. This is a political matter that is being used to get the #badorangeman and to persecute those who would support him.
Ive always used 30 seconds as my rule, and I scrub thoroughly.
I long for the day when carrying a tissue and coughing or sneezing into it, or into my shoulder or my chest will once again be the practice. I really think that the mask wearing is making people more untrusting and unkind toward each other. Im tired of people being suspicious of each other. Its not a good thing.
Government is always inefficient and frequently incompetent. Why are these people in CDC presumed to be all-knowing? With this horrible advice which discourages testing and identification of those infected, are they not fueling the transmission of this virus? Isn’t this exactly the opposite of what needs to be done to finally get control of this, or do they want to keep the shutdowns going??
Inquiring minds would like to know. If I were the president, I would fire everybody and start over with trusted people. Fauci, Birx, and all the rest need to go right now.
The question is... did twitter ban their accounts for disagreeing with the CDC?
THIS IS HOW ALL DISEASES ARE TREATED
You can’t test every person, for everything.
ONLY symptomatic people usually present themselves for care.
It is nearly impossible to tell how many people had a virus that never made them sick.
That is why the death rate for any disease is usually calculated as (number dead)/(number with symptoms)
(that’s divided by)
What kind is study would determine that an asymptomatic can still transmit the virus?
My backyard neighbor is late 70s with relatively good health. His younger brother died from the flu last year (2019) and was 76. For all this time of CoVid, he and his wife have gone on about their usual business as much as the lockdown would allow them. His wife, also late 70s, only wears masks when required, and she does the most of the errands, and regularly visits others she knows that are needing help. These are often people in their late 80s and early to mid 90s. None of them have gotten CoVid, but none are in group homes either. They have their own caregivers and she helps them out running errands for them.
I once asked my neighbor early on how she felt about all of the mask wearing and the shutdowns. She says its ludicrous, and she added, I say that as a person who lost a loved one to the flu. She gets it. She knows, like I do, that while this is a terrible tragedy for those of us losing loved ones to the Wuhan flu, that common sense needs to prevail here. Some people will get sick, some people will need to be hospitalized, and some people will die. Thats just life.
‘Im tired of people being suspicious of each other.’
the horse has vacated the barn; people are going to mistrust others for a long time to come, because of the preponderance of risk avoidance and fear of challenge that a society geared towards favoring feminine influences is going to face...
Absolutely correct but try to convince the "We're all gonna die" pearl clutchers here on FR.
I use a minute. When I was doing dialysis on my girlfriend, the rule was 3 minutes. When she went in the hospital the nurses in the kidney ward told me they didn’t need no 3 minute wash, they had gloves.
I had different ideas.
