Some of the wolves are sheep on a bad day. Some of the wolves are true sheep who ran up against rogue sheep dogs. Some of the wolves are sheep dogs, like that poor guy in a Chicago bar who took out a bad guy and got shot by the cops.
And all of the wolves are human beings. We shoot human beings only when they are an immediate danger, or when they have been tried and condemned by law. Police officers are not varmint hunters or executioners.
We need more deescalation techniques, more patience, more accurate threat assessment training, more peace keeping.
