The serious hurricanes for our part of the country in the last few years have mostly come ashore at night: Katrina, Rita, Ike. So its unfortunately appropriate that Laura do the same as well.
Due to the slow forward speed, the odds are pretty much 50/50 that a storm will roll through at night.
