I had called a radio station after a ‘traffic report’ that is basically telling all that the roads are sheet of ice with snow drifts 10 foot high.
When I told the screener that the report is false and traffic moving fine he told me to hold and the host came on (off air) and explained that if there was the slightest chance of a ‘problem’ that they couldn’t tell the motoring public that things are fine so they have to go to ‘worse case scenario’ or at least a ‘bad’ one.
