The FDA fails to live in a real mode crisis environment where everything is thrown at the problem at once. The hope is anything being done will provide a better outcome than the dragging of feet approach. Really, the only way this is solved is by giving the loved ones of these people the disease, and hopefully the realization of the magnitude of the problem will spawn a spark of understanding causing them to get off their asses and get the problem solved ASAP.
