Of course. That joking exchange is tantamount proof they didn’t steal anything. So we’re supposed to believe they stole money and then publicly joked about it. Come on.

They supposedly took what — 1M out of $25M. If they did that is 4% which is less suckage than most charities. Legal bills? who knows?

So I call BS on the only thing until I see more damning evidence. Innocent until proven guilty.

Yeah, I think if Kolfage had been upfront about taking a salary, it would have been fine. And considering what he lost in Iraq, I don’t think donors would mind him trying to earn a living.

It wasn't unreasonable to pay the organizers, especially the guy who was doing the heavy lifting. He deserved a salary and other compensation and perhaps the others as well. But, they told the donors that they were not doing this. They lied. When Bannon decided to pay Kolfage, the organization should have disclosed that to all of the donors, amended their by laws and offered refunds for any who didn't want to agree to the change.

Probably, few would have asked for their money back and then the organization could be operating legally. It sucks when you decide to defraud.
