I understand your feelings. When you live in SE Texas you have too much bad history with tropical storms & hurricanes.
I lived & worked in Liberty county from ‘79 to ‘86.
We had that tropical storm Claudette dump 20 inches on us and flooded everything.
Then there was Alicia.....
But once I retired & settled in the Hill Country where my kin are from you have a different perspective.
That’s true, love the hill country. Spent many years of my youth around Bandera and Helotes, and over around Vanderpool and the Llano.
