A couple more months ought to fix y’all up permanently. People won’t return to that sh_thole.
The government administrators of the city of New York decided to place homeless druggies, alcoholics and mentally unstable in the empty hotels in Manhattan. This should be the factor that motivates anyone that can get out of New York city to do so. No one can depend on replacing the insane mayor and his minions, and even if possible it will take years to right the wrongs that have been committed by Blasio.
Don’t fool yourself. All that you mentioned are related.
I’ve worked from home for several years but the company that I work for used the COVID time to complete a long needed office makeover. Couple million bucks worth.
I’ve heard some rumors that they are going to have people on staggered schedules for a while.
As long as you get stuff done, who cares where you’re sitting.
A work buddy has two adult kids who work for New York companies. Both moved back to his house and earn NYC incomes living with mom and dad for free.
Many years ago I was required to go to downtown Newark for a hearing in front of the public utilities regulators.
I was living in CA at the time so I had to stay overnight at a hotel downtown.
It was the only time I ever saw a security guard standing by the check-in guest with a huge rifle by his side.
He explained “do not go out after dark”—and I believed him!
What gets me is that when tragedy strikes, flyover country are the first to send aid. Didn’t a town in SC send their brand new firetruck to NYC after 9/11? But when a tornado or something hits flyover country, coastal liberals laugh and point and mock us, our culture, and our religion. I have come to the point where I could not care less what happens to these leftists cities.
I heard one BLM activist prattle on about reparations, and how direct payments to the people are the only way, and how the banks and insurance companies are the ones who are going to pay. IMHO the banks (and many other big companies) are kissing BLM a$$ in in the hope that somehow it will save them. Good luck with that.
When the unions in NY refused help from non union power people that were on site EVERYONE should have woken up
Do you think those numbers will hold when all the restrictions are finally lifted? I have a hunch that the restrictions and Karens are keeping people honest right now. Once the restrictions lift and nothing holds people back from going to restaurants, stores, gyms, etc., I think the needle on those metrics will move in the other direction.
Then I hope they are registered to vote in their new state of residence!
I also work for big bank, but in Charlotte, not NYC. We haven’t had as much rioting and property defacement here (yet), but otherwise it’s exactly as you describe. I deeply resent all the SJW pressure. When (if?) the bank decides to bring us back to the office, I’m going to retire. I will never go back to an office environment again...not with all the anti-white pressure these days.
Those who move out had better be admonished to not vote Democrat where they end up.
I think this is part of the plan. The globalist left realizes their plan is in danger from the Trump doctrine that has been embraced by most of the states and smaller cities. Their only chance now is by destroying major cities and counting on the blue diaspora to transform red areas, which they will do, over the next few generations. This is the long plan.
Yup. This result was sealed the moment DeBlasio was declared the winner. COVID just sped-up the timeline a bit.
I do not doubt that is their plan.
The part they didn’t count on is Trump’s apparent ability to wake-up minority voters and lure them off the plantation. 4D chess.
Keep voting for DeBlasio.
The IDIOTS are learning directly “You Reap What You Sow”
I don’t think they have the ability to learn.
And there go all the taxpayers. The city and state are going to swim in a pool of red ink. And about those state guaranteed pensions....
Seems to me some entrepreneurs could make some money opening a moving service in NYC.
