Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi uttered bogus statistics, saying “more than 5 million Americans are” –present tense— infected by COVID-19.
According to Worldometers.info, at the very moment she offered that figure, a cumulative total of 5,700,931 Americans had contracted the disease. But Pelosi left out the fact that 3,062,331 recovered from it, which means that only 2,638,600 –or half the number she claimed— now have the disease.
Presumably, Pelosi thought that doubling the number of those currently infected made President Trump look worse...

This claim is false.
The U.S. has had more than five million cases total, but that includes all the people who have recovered or died due to the virus. According to Johns Hopkins data, roughly two million people in the United States have recovered from the coronavirus and 173,125 have died. If you subtract those from the total cases, you’re left with at most 3.4 million people who could be infected. That number is likely lower as the recovered numbers update slower.

This is true but needs context.
Data from Johns Hopkins shows that the United States does have the highest total number of COVID-19 deaths in the world with 173,125 deaths. But, the United States also has a larger population than many other countries in the world.
If you adjust the total deaths by population the U.S. drops lower. A Johns Hopkins analysis of deaths per 100,000 population shows the U.S. is actually ***4th highest in the world. A separate analysis compares the observed case-fatality ratio of each country. This number is determined by dividing the total number of fatalities by the total number of cases. On this chart, the U.S. ranks 12th in the world.

Yes, lol, and Kamala and her husband were waiving at the TV screen of people too. I might add that some of the individual squares on the screen panel containing cheering people, were duplicates of each other, not all individual groups of folks. So there were duplicative squares; they couldn’t even get their screen panel right. What a joke.

Fox News Channel, Chris Wallace, Dana Perino & Karl Rove fawned all over the dead tired Biden and his canned speech. That’s the bad news from the scum & vermin of FNC!!! The good news is that the entire Democrat convention was a 100% failure, because very few American citizens and voter tuned in to watch on TV or other media outlets.
The three viewer numbers for the four day convention were $18 million, $19 Million, #21 million...the fourth day numbers. we will get this afternoon. To be successful a political convention needs to get between 30-35 Million on lookers. The Dems were not even close (6% of 350 million Americans, miserable numbers).
The sad sack view of a few cars beeping their horns in mostly deserted,parking lot (less then fifty cars) was a full blown insult and joke....no one cared in Biden’s own Delaware, backyard.

He left a word out off the sentence. He is totally incapable of doing a debate. How are they going to get out of having him answer questions LIVE?
No Joe himself is not. Last night was as produced for him as possible and he still wasn’t great. Anyone who’s had relatives at this stage knows what they’re seeing. I’m sure they upped the drugs for one thing. It’s why he’s never out in public, why there’ll be no debates as we’ve known them.
