Damn typos,,,the offending fingers have been severely chastized.
Why is WIC so restrictive when it’s for young kids? Do they give cash or just food. I think you have to show up for appointments. Isn’t WIC about breastfeeding?
Can you get WIC and snap simultaneously? They shouldn’t allow sofa and chips on snap.
Dunno
WIC and Snap are 2 different programs. WIC is for women and children under 5.
It strongly encourages nursing although you can get formula if you are unable and when the child is six months you can get certain kinds of baby food. It is still very restrictive on salt, sugar and meat in the baby food. When the kid hits a year old baby food ends.
You get a card that is loaded with your WIC benefits and except for a certain amount that is for fresh fruits and vegetables which is a dollar amount, you can only get what is on your list regardless of cost. If you pick up a gallon of skim milk it is cleared at the register, if you pick up a gallon of chocolate milk it will not clear.
I assume you can get WIC and SNAP both in the same family.
You have to complete twenty lessons on food and nutrition in a certain amount of time to keep your benefits.
When you child reaches five years of age WIC stops for both mother and child.
