A defiant Steve Bannon claimed Thursday that his bombshell indictment on fraud and money-laundering charges was a “fiasco” caused by people who want to block the construction of the border.

As he walked out of Manhattan federal court in Lower Manhattan Thursday, Bannon ripped off his surgical mask before claiming to members of the press that “this entire fiasco is to stop people who want to build the wall.”

Its basically the same charge that they brought against Jim and Tammy Faye..creating something for the sole purpose of keeping the money for themselves. Would Bannon do it, if it were just him maybe cause he’s a strange fellow..but the military guy who lost 2 legs and an arm, him I find it hard to believe

“Is it the same district they indicted NRA in”?

Yes. And, the same district currently suing President Trump for his tax returns. Harassment. Plain and simple.

I can see the writing on the wall and I smell rats. I’ll wait and see the specifics involved, but I’d bet good money this is a political hitjob.

Well, maybe. But it is also aimed at people who claim that 100% of the donations are going towards a project - and who then pocket hundreds of thousands of dollars for themselves.

Yeah Steve, I’m looking at you.

Side note: Hillary is just as bad, and probably worse. But at least she had the sense not to use that 100% figure when setting up the Clinton Foundation.

Hmm, if it was the state attorney, I'd agree with you. Federal case investigated by the United States Postal Inspection Service, that's hardly something to sneeze at.

Bannon being arrested while on a Chinese mega yacht? The grain has melted in my mind.

Well...I think there’s a lot more to this story then the alligations the news is reporting....it’s not like those accused weren’t wealthy ‘before’ they began the fund to build the wall because they were.

So we’ll see.

300 miles of wall built without Bannon. I don’t think Build the wall built anything.

I did a little back work and so far it is true there’s been a lot of people trying to stop building their wall. And the boat was purchased long before the drive to build the wall.

These guys weren’t exactly hurting for personal wealth before this wall drive.

This is a Chinese billionaire that defected when China confiscated his business. The guy is legit IMHO. I’ve seen interviews with him describing what the chicoms did to his business.

You’ve got no proof to back up your claim.

Or Steve Bannon is an opportunist, who claimed to be a conservative to cash in on Trump's populist movement. I think that the guy is a crook, anyone who wears his hair like that is suspect.

Was the vet?

The charge isn't that Bannon pocketed the money, it's that he arranged a way for money to be funneled to the disabled vet after giving his word that all of the funds would go to the wall.
