No folks, this is NOT 'The Onion.'

The Global Times is a daily tabloid newspaper and voice of the Chinese Communist Party in Beijing.

On Thursday (China time), on the same day as Joe Biden’s much anticipated Democrat Party convention speech, the Chinese Communist newspaper endorsed Joe Biden for President of the United States.

The Global Times says Joe Biden may reactivate the job-killing TPP and the Iran nuclear deals pushed by the Obama administration.

China is rooting for a weak America. Trump is rooting for a strong America.

This was quite an endorsement.

MSM nightly news tonight: will be drooling all over themselves talking about how great this is for slow Joe to have the support of communist China. They’ll say stuff about he’s been working on this relationship for years, and it will be great for the United States to have good relations with China in the future.

3/4 of the low info people will be all excited about what a great deal this is.

[Chinese Communist Newspaper ENDORSES Joe Biden]

Well, to be fair, the Chinese Communists share much the same goals as the Democrat Communists.

What’s amazing is the way that all of those Republican congressmen, Senators, and governors, and other officials immediately went to Twitter and everywhere else demanding that Biden disavow this support. Wait, what? They didn’t? Do they not want to win?

CIRCA 2011

SOURCE Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said he welcomes Chinese intrusion into “all levels of [U.S.] government, classrooms, laboratories, athletic fields and boardrooms.”

The Biden comments – unearthed from a 2011 Sichuan University speech – demonstrate either a fundamental misunderstanding of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), or outright collusion with it.

The former veep stated at the time: “In order to cement this robust partnership, we have to go beyond close ties between Washington and Beijing, which we’re working on every day, go beyond it to include all levels of government, go beyond it to include classrooms and laboratories, athletic fields and boardrooms.”

Biden, 77, even advocated for closer ties between the U.S. and CCP on the military front: “…that’s why it’s also important that our military leaders work together, get to know one another — not just our political leaders, but our military leaders.” Biden takes this reckless approach to the private sector, too:

“The United States should undertake to make it easier for Chinese business people to obtain visas to travel to the United States. It takes much too long for that to happen.”

During the 50-minutes he spoke,Biden expressed support for granting China increased access to high-tech U.S. products: “Already, we have made thousands of new items available for export to China for exclusive civilian use that were not available before, and tens of thousands of more items will become available very soon. That’s a significant change in our export policy and a rejection of those voices in America that say we should not export that kind of technology to – for civilian use in – China. We disagree, and we’re changing.”

Critics are right to oppose exports of this nature: they often have military applications and can end up in the hands of the CCP. And despite his insistence in the speech trade with China “supports hundreds of thousands of jobs in America” and insists “it’s in our mutual interest in each of our countries to promote that exchange,” the nearly 4 million jobs lost in under 20 years due to China’s predatory trading practices such as currency manipulation tell a different story. China’s exports have even harmed American lives: Chinese toys are made with toxic lead paint; Chinese fish are carcinogenic due to the country’s polluted water; Chinese candy has been contaminated formaldehyde; and Chinese drywall is made with radioactive material.

Biden, however, insists: “I believed in 1979 and said so and I believe now that a rising China is a positive development, not only for the people of China but for the United States and the world as a whole.” He continues: “it is in our self-interest that China continues to prosper” and retained hope “a rising China will fuel economic growth and prosperity and it will bring to the fore a new partner with whom we can meet global challenges together.” None of this has materialized.

Even the location of Biden’s speech, the final stop of his four-day China trip of which increased ties with the country was the main takeaway, speaks volumes: Sichuan University is a CCP funded and controlled institution with former high-ranking party apparatchiks on its board. The university even utilizes “student information officers” tasked with identifying professors and peers who “show any sign of disloyalty to President Xi Jinping and the ruling Communist Party” and has a track record of intellectual property theft.

The remarks are especially concerning in light of a Chinese law that stipulates: “any [Chinese] organization or [Chinese] citizen shall support, assist, and cooperate with state intelligence work in accordance with the law, and maintain the secrecy of all knowledge of state intelligence work.”

In other words, the CCP can requisition any citizen at any time in any place to assist with any goal of which surpassing the U.S. in international standing is paramount. And Joe Biden wants to facilitate China’s unrestricted access to virtually all corners of the U.S.

The dangers of inviting Chinese enterprises into all sectors of U.S. society are not purely hypothetical. Many of the “partnerships” Biden urges already exist – and at great detriment to U.S. workers, companies, and the economy as a whole. The CCP has coerced U.S. corporates to pull advertisements and products displaying Taiwan as a country independent from China and expressing support for the Hong Kong protests along with compelling the entertainment industry to frequently cut anti-CCP content.

The CCP already has a solid foothold in U.S. schools through “Confucius Institutes,” the regime’s international propaganda arm. Even teachers affiliated with the trojan horse organization have admitted it’s a smokescreen for imposing “Chinese morality and values.”

And the CCP-orchestrated Thousand Talents Plan seeks to lure prominent academics a way from Western institutions and reorient their research towards granting China an upper hand technologically and scientifically.

Granting China broader access to American laboratories is also a clear and present danger. Two Chinese nationals were recently arrested for smuggling U.S. biological research, ostensibly at the request of the CCP. But this isn’t an isolated incident or confined to scientific research: intellectual property theft is China’s modus operandi with nearly one in five American companies falling victim to the predatory scheme in 2019.

A study published by the US International Trade Commission the same year Biden praised China’s progress on the issue “estimated that if IP protection in just China were improved to a level comparable to that in the United States, the U.S. economy would obtain an estimated $107 billion in additional annual sales and net U.S. employment could increase by 2.1-million jobs.”

There’s not enough time between now and the 2020 election to enumerate all the abuses U.S. businesses and workers endured at the hands of the CCP. But it certainly doesn’t take much convincing to see why Biden’s approach to China would wreak havoc on U.S. companies, institutions, and national security.

Last June, US Customs and Border Protection agents announced that customs officials in
Louisville seized an illicit shipment of 10,000 assault weapon parts that originated from China.

VP Biden, his son Hunter, and Hunter's daughter Finnegan, arrive in Beijing..........on an official US visit financed by taxpayers.

Throughout the tax-paid trip, Hunter Biden seemed to duck in and out, sometimes joining his father at events and red-carpet arrival ceremonies, and at other times following his own itinerary, presumably with his daughter Finnegan. As is customary, the White House did not provide details about what the vice president’s relatives were doing when they were not part of his public events.

What else Hunter Biden may have done during the tax-paid two-day stop in China is unclear. There are no indications he met with Chinese government officials. Mesires, the spokesman, said that he did not conduct any business during the tax-paid trip — including when he met with Li, the Chinese banker and his nascent business partner.

Several former White House officials who traveled with Biden on the tax-paid trip told NBC News that they didn’t know at the time that Hunter Biden had any business interests in China and were unaware of his private schedule while in Beijing.

Reporters along for the trip also indicated no one was aware of Hunter's mega business deal in China.

Twelve days after Hunter stepped off Air Force Two in Beijing with his VP dad and daughter, on an official tax-paid trip, Hunter's nascent privarcompany signed a historic deal with the Bank of China, the state-owned financial behemoth often used as a tool of the Chinese government.

The Bank of China had created a first-of-its-kind investment fund called Bohai Harvest RST (BHR). According to BHR, one of its founding partners was none other than Rosemont Seneca Partners LLC.

It was an unprecedented arrangement: (A) the government of one of America’s fiercest competitors, the Chinese Communist government. going into business with the son of one of America’s most powerful decision-makers, then VP-Biden....Pres Obama's point man in China.

Chris Heinz (John Kerry’s stepson) claims neither he nor Rosemont Seneca Partners, the firm he had part ownership of, had any role in the deal with Bohai Harvest. Nonetheless, Biden, Archer and the Rosemont name became increasingly involved with China.

Archer became the vice chairman of Bohai Harvest, helping oversee some of the fund’s investments.

Troublingly, some of those investments had major implications for US national security........including the safety and security of Americans.

<><> Ironically, Hunter Biden’s father, the vice president, met earlier with Chinese President Hu Jintao in Washington as part of the Nuclear Security Summit as Obama's point man on all things China.
<><> In December 2014, Hunter's company, BHR became an “anchor investor” in the IPO of China General Nuclear Power Corp. (CGN), the Communist state-owned energy company involved in the construction of nuclear reactors.
<><> In April 2016, the US Justice Department would charge CGN with stealing nuclear secrets from the United States — actions prosecutors said could cause “significant damage to our national security.”

Of particular interest to CGN were sensitive, American-made components that, according to experts, resembled components used by the US on its nuclear submarines.

Joe Biden later bragged that he did not discuss Hunter's business interests on the 20-hour flight to China.Nor would he. The details of a mega-deal...... with larger importance to the Biden family fortunes....... were certainly worked out weeks ahead in VP Biden's tax-paid office utilizing Biden's tax-paid staff.

The alacrity with which Hunter seemingly sewed up the billion dollar deal shorty after arriving is significant. Because the details were already hashed out when he boarded Air Force Two. Joe and Hunter surely allowed themselves a high five. No need to discuss the deal on the trip was fait accompli....thanks to the VP's tax-paid help.

THE FEDERALIST.COM—snip-—The former vice president must tell us whether his views and policy prescriptions have markedly changed, or if his presidency would represent a reversion to the status quo ante.

Here are 23 questions the press ought to ask him but almost certainly won’t:

1. Does Biden still believe, as he remarked during a 2011 speech, that “a rising China is a positive, positive development, not only for China but for America and the world writ large”?

2. Does Biden regret his support for granting permanent normal trade relations to China, setting it up for accession to the World Trade Organization that would supercharge its drive toward superpower status?

3. Does Biden believe the Obama administration’s responses, or lack thereof, to China’s rampant theft of intellectual property, militarization of the South China Sea, catastrophic hack of the Office of Personnel Management, and liquidation of Central Intelligence Agency assets were sufficient, and successfully checked China’s ambitions? If not, what would he have done differently? Did he propose such alternatives as vice president?

4. Does Biden disavow the Obama administration’s signing of a 2013 memorandum of understanding — following intense lobbying of the former vice president by Chinese leaders — granting Chinese companies continued access to U.S. capital markets, in spite of their unique noncompliance in skirting basic auditing and reporting requirements, resulting in numerous frauds?

5. Does the former vice president think it appropriate for former Obama administration national security officials to lobby on behalf of Huawei, the CCP-tied, national security-threatening, alleged U.S.-lawbreaking linchpin of China’s plan for control over global communications?

6. Will Biden disclose any and all funding directly or indirectly emanating from Chinese sources for the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement?

7. Would a President-Elect Biden take a congratulatory call from Taiwan’s president, and express ambiguity regarding the “One China” policy prior to dealing with the CCP?

8. Would a Biden administration explicitly recognize the ruling CCP as a “Marxist-Leninist Party,” “hostile to the United States,” that harbors hegemonic ambitions?

9. More fundamentally, would a Biden administration recognize that China poses the greatest threat of all to America?

10. Would every member of a Biden Cabinet adopt policies geared toward countering China, or ceasing cooperation with it?

11. Would a President Biden continue the Trump administration’s military buildup aimed at countering China’s aggression?

12. Specifically, would a President Biden prioritize significant funding of missile defense and the Space Force in his budgets?

13. Would a President Biden continue to vacate the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty?

14. Would a President Biden continue accelerating naval activities throughout the Indo-Pacific?

15. Would a President Biden explicitly encourage U.S. companies to move their supply chains out of China?

16. Would a President Biden impose tariffs as a means of creating leverage over China in a bid to achieve free, fair, and reciprocal trade?

17. Would a President Biden use every possible measure to counter China’s efforts to monopolize strategically significant fields, such as 5G telecommunications?

18. Would a President Biden maintain the substantially increased powers of the executive branch over conducting Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States reviews of transactions that might represent national security threats, and use it to scuttle relevant deals?

19. Would a Biden administration sanction Chinese entities doing business with sanctioned Iranian entities?
20. Would a Biden Department of Justice maintain the Trump administration’s China Initiative, aimed at preventing and prosecuting Chinese espionage and hacking efforts?

21. Would a Biden administration engage in a comprehensive strategic communications effort aimed at the CCP, including resolutely challenging its propaganda, delivering Mandarin pro-democracy and anti-CCP messages, and highlighting tyrannical CCP actions?

22. Would a Biden administration maintain restrictions on visas for Chinese students and scholars in strategically significant disciplines, and investigate and expose potentially corrupting Chinese funding of American higher ed institutions?

23. Would a President Biden order that the savings of U.S. government employees not be invested in funds with weightings toward Chinese companies antithetical to America’s interests?

America awaits Biden’s answers.

Then-VP Biden toasts China's XI. "Here’s why I’m toasting this Chink. My view for many years is that a rising China is a positive development, and that the Biden family can become billionaires as long as we Democrats force American taxpayers to invest in Beijing’s success. Some anti-globalists see China’s growth as a threat, entertaining visions of a cold-war-style rivalry or great-power confrontation. Other Chinks worry that our aim in the Asia-Pacific is to contain China’s rise,” Biden wrote. “I reject these views. “I remain convinced that a successful China can make our country more prosperous, not less,” he added.

(h/t Greenfield)

Yet, underneath all the Biden sucking-up rhetoric about the ennobling virtues of globalism was some very parochial and familial profiteering. In 2013, Joe and his son Hunter Biden flew on Air Force Two to China. China’s BHR Partners was founded that year and included Hunter Biden as a board member. The Delaware Board of Trade was incorporated in 2013. Despite its name, the DBOT was not a government agency, but a penny stock startup which received a $3 million loan from New Castle County.

After Joe's wet kiss to XI, the big Chinese partner in the BHR arrangement was Harvest Fund Management which, coincidentally enough, in 2012 was targeting Hollywood with an $800 million investment fund. That same year, you could find Bruno Wu, who had been working with Harvest, and Chris Dodd, along with Harvey Weinstein, playing roles at the Asian Film Summit in Toronto.

And the money didn’t just go one way. The Delaware Board of Trade was incorporated in 2013.

Despite its name, the DBOT was not a government agency, but a penny stock startup which received a $3 million loan from New Castle County. (Delaware is Joe Biden’s home state which he repped as a US Senator.)

New Castle County had approved the issue of $15 million in revenue bonds to fund the DBOT “stock exchange” by touting the “globally recognized leaders in the financial services industry” running it. DBOT’s founders included people with experience in stock exchanges and financial services, and Dennis Toner, who was described as a “top aide to Vice President Joe Biden.”

Toner, Biden’s deputy chief of staff, is in the news for denying that Tara Reade ever told him anything. Reade’s decision to tell Toner and Ted Kaufman was a pretty poor one. Both are longtime Biden men and considered as close to the boss as family. And they’ve reaped the benefits of that closeness.

After Obama won, Ted Kaufman was temporarily appointed to the Senate. If there was anything odd about appointing a Biden advisor to sit in the Senate, it became odder when Senator Kaufman delivered the opening statement in favor of Toner’s appointment as Post Office Governor, by vouching for his “loyalty” working for Joe Biden. Tara Reade might as well have taken her complaint to Biden, as to Toner and Kaufman. The current New Castle County exec has since called DBOT’s founders criminals and threatened to sue after the company was disposed of as a “distressed asset” in exchange for shares of Ideanomics. Ideanomics is a Chinese crypto company trading as a penny stock and the software that served as collateral for the loan has been described as worthless. The chairman of Ideanomics is Wu.

The manager of DBOT-I LLC was listed as John Hynansky. The car dealer is a Biden pal with extensive Ukrainian ties who had lent Biden’s shady brother half a million dollars and had received $20 million in government loans to start a Porsche luxury car dealership in the Ukraine. Biden’s vaunted foreign policy expertise has consisted of sucking up to broker deals between Biden family members, donors, and foreign interests. These deals haven’t been good for America, but they’ve worked out very well for members of Biden's crooked family, as well as assorted donors, camp followers, and the local boys.

But Biden's biggest deal was helping broker the Chinese takeover of the American entertainment industry. Xi’s visit to Los Angeles hit on all the right cultural notes. He schmoozed Hollywood bigwigs and their errand boys, like Dodd and Biden, he watched a Lakers game, and cheered Obama’s 100,000 Strong China initiative to have a hundred thousand American students study in the Communist dictatorship.

“I can say with confidence my visit has been a full success,” Xi declared.

In China, culture serves the agenda of the Communist government. Unlike the Russians, who struggled vainly to stem the impact of American culture, their Chinese counterparts decided to control it at the source. Biden was a key figure in negotiating the terms on which the PRC would control Hollywood.

In 1962, the Manchurian Candidate depicted an effort by Communists in China, Russia, and elsewhere to kidnap and brainwash American soldiers. The modern remake replaced the Communists with a corporation and the Chinese doctor with a South African geneticist. China could not be offended. While Biden, Katzenberg, and Xi were partying at the Marriot, human rights protesters were calling for freedom, and being arrested by the henchmen of a one-party Democrat city and state for their trouble.

Even while Biden was falsely claiming that the Hollywood sellout would improve human rights in China, the rise of China was already violating human rights in America. Now, as Chinese drones fly over American cities, police stalk empty streets, social media monopolies monitor every single phone, and Democrat officials dismiss the Bill of Rights while locking up millions of people, our rights are gone. And Joe Biden is the Manchurian Candidate who long ago sold out the country he now seeks to rule.

PELOSI AIDE A REGISTERED FOREIGN AGENT; “STRATEGIC COUNSEL” TO CCP CENTRAL TV NETWORK (kibosh nanzi's evil plan) ^ | AUGUST 13, 2020 | natalie winters FR Posted on 8/14/2020, 9:55:33 AM by Liz

During his tenure as Executive Vice President at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, Daly secured a contract between the lobbying behemoth and China Central Television Network (CCTV). Specifically, the firm helped the state-run propaganda outfit CCTV expand into American homes by “providing strategic counsel, identify relevant parties to communications activities, and media relations to support the launch of CCTV America.”

“Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide will work with CCTV America to communicate to the American public that CCTV America will provide compelling, comprehensive, and balanced news programming from an Asian perspective that is relevant to a global audience,” the 2012 filing in accordance with the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) noted. Per CCTV’s FARA registration, however, the outlet is “supervised, owned, directed, controlled, financed, and subsidized” entirely by the Chinese Communist Party.

Email correspondence from Daly identifies him as taking the lead on the account, as he spoke with CCTV’s American representative on the phone. He also provided the outlet with a memo detailing Ogilvy’s strategy on the count, detailing how to best bridge the gap between American homes and Chinese Communist Party propaganda:

The memo, sent from Daly, outlines how Ogilvy would provide CCTV with comprehensive support, including “influencer” and “media relations support,” to achieve the “overall message that CCTV Americas is the source for business news in and with China, with credentialed, experienced and trusted journalists doing in-depth stories and reporting.” “We are excited about the prospect of working with you to help establish CCTV Americas as the program to watch to succeed in an interconnected global economy,” the email concludes.

CCTV has been identified by Freedom House think tank as a “long-standing weapon in Beijing’s arsenal of repression” whose mission “is to attack designated enemies of the Communist Party,” chiefly the U.S.--snip--

How far did Biden help China infiltrate the US?

NOTE Former US Senator Chris Dodd is Biden's best friend.......and is especially well-connected. After serving in the Senate Swamp, in 2011 Dodd then went to Hollywood to become the Motion Picture Association of America chairman— Hollywood's top lobbyist — representing the six major studios.

How Joe Biden won friends in Hollywood by helping studios get their movies into China

Xi Jinping, then the vice president of China, speaks with then-Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa while Jerry Brown, then governor of California, watches a game between the Lakers and the Suns at Staples Center in 2012. At top right is Jeffrey Katzenberg, then-CEO of DreamWorks Animation, who used his ties to California politicians — and to then-Vice President Joe Biden — to lobby Xi for access to the Chinese market. Schaben/Los Angeles Times) Facebook Twitter Show more sharing options

WASHINGTON — When then-Vice President Joe Biden hosted Chinese leader Xi Jinping for a five-day diplomatic blitz in 2012, a Hollywood Democratic mega-donor kept popping up with them. There was Jeffrey Katzenberg, then the head of DreamWorks Animation, dining alongside Xi, the then-vice president of China, at a State Department welcome lunch in Washington. And there he was again, standing just behind Xi, then-Gov.

Jerry Brown and then-Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa at a Lakers game in Los Angeles. And there was Katzenberg hanging out in a nearby hallway with Disney CEO Robert Iger to provide last-minute counsel as Biden closed a deal in which China committed to considerably expand its market for American films.

On the final day of Xi’s visit, Dreamworks announced Xi had signed off on the company’s own deal — the launching of Oriental DreamWorks, a $330-million joint venture with Chinese companies to develop and distribute animated films in China.

Several of the candidates vying for the Democratic presidential nomination have significant support in Hollywood — Katzenberg, for example, has kicked in $2,800 each to 14 of them already — but none has as long a history of delivering for the industry as Biden. His deep ties to studio executives and decades-long advocacy for their agenda has helped cement Biden’s support even as it may also open him to criticism for too cozy a relationship with big donors.

Biden is returning to Hollywood this week for another round of fundraisers, including the second Biden event co-hosted by Katzenberg and leaders of several major studios. Biden’s first Southern California fundraiser, which Katzenberg co-hosted in May, netted more than $700,000 in one night. “Joe was our champion inside the White House,” said former Sen. Christopher Dodd, who led the Motion Picture Assn. of America for much of the Obama era.

“There is no question about it. Even before Joe Biden decided to run, I would get calls and have conversation with the major studio figures, with them saying, ‘You tell Vice President Biden 100% we want him to run.’ This wasn’t waiting around to see who would do well in polls.” cont......CCTV falls under the supervision of the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television which is in turn subordinate to the State Council of the People’s Republic Of China,” the FARA registration noted, placing Daly on the payroll of the Chinese Communist Party.

Daly served as Communications Director to Pelosi for nearly a decade, from 2002 to 2011. He bills himself as “instrumental in orchestrating Pelosi’s rise from House Minority Whip to House Minority Leader,” noting he “worked closely with external coalitions on communications activities and events to advance Democratic agenda” and “earned the trust and respect of the Speaker and entire House leadership.”

He even donated $1,000 to the Pelosi campaign in 2001, as one of his FARA forms reveals. Now, Daly appears to be exploiting these Pelosi-procured connections to bolster the reach and quality of Chinese communist media operations.

Daly also served in the Bill Clinton White House as Assistant to the U.S. Trade Office Representative for Public Affairs, where he “led communications efforts with government relations team and external organizations to generate positive press in targeted Congressional districts so Congress would pass Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR) with China.”

And after his Ogilvy tenure, Daly went back to the federal government as a political appointee of former President Barack Obama to serve as Director of Public Affairs for the Department of Energy and Spokesperson for Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz.

He is now the Chief Communications Officer for the Recording Industry Association of America, which represents many top record labels such as Warner Music Group, which Tencent, a Chinese Communist Party linked tech company whose platform WeChat is set to be banned by the Trump administration, recently acquired a $200 million stake in.

This unearthed connection follows Pelosi’s insistence that she is the “most unliked American in China” – a far cry from reality in light of the revolving door between her staffers and the Chinese Communist Party. Michael Hacker, a former senior adviser to Pelosi, has also joined TikTok’s lobbying crusade to fight against President Trump’s decision to ban the app for being a Chinese government proxy.
